TOPIC | Mixed element blasts?

I've gotten pretty curious lately about mixed element blasts.
With Dustcarve dig going around, I have been wondering which combinations would be the most sturdy, or most effective against rocks, or even what combination would be the most sticky

Water would be really important, I think.
Fire would work well as explosive power.
Nature could get its roots to break things up, but it would probably be hard to control the plants as they grow, and then difficult to get them out of the way again.
I assume Arcane is good at telekinesis, so that's useful.
Wind... I'm not sure about that one.
And I can't think of uses for the rest.

nature can spit venom and so can plague-acid to melt the rocks, perhaps?
obviously geokinesis for earth.
water can pair with ice-water floods the place, ice freezes the water, making it expand, crumbling and dislodging stones. fire can melt the ice, then water can hydrokinesis it out. this is called ice wedging!

Wind could probably help move crumbled rocks out of the cave once they've been dug out?

Shadow and Fire together could make a tarry, fiery substance like Greek fire of old which would probably help clear away finer debris.

Arcane could have the potential for good explosive power. Arcane and Lightning would work well together for causing massive energy explosions.

Hey, friendly reminder to drink water, stretch, and take a short break if you can. Stay healthy! Also, don't forget about any chores or tasks you might be putting off.
Wind could probably help move crumbled rocks out of the cave once they've been dug out?
Probably, yes, especially since Earth is a desert region with little plant cover. Wind is one of the major shapers of desert regions. I imagine wind could be used as a sort of polish on the tunnels to clear away small rocks and dust and smooth the tunnels down to make them more navigable - and get rid of the particles that could otherwise get into dragons' lungs. Nature would be useful too - plant roots hold soil in place, so Nature would hold down the parts of the tunnel we don't want eroded by Water and Wind. Oh, I'm excited, I get to pull out some of the things I studied in college! I love soils! Edit: Ice! Holy cow, yes, ice! Ice could do a freeze-thaw cycle in places to make the ground shift and break up. Once there's water in the soil, Ice could freeze it up, which expands the water and moves the soil and breaks up some of the rock. Then, when it melts, you've got looser rock and soil to move. Edit2: Just saw corndog above me said the same thing.

Nature could crack rocks, but you would have to clear the roots out afterwards, so I think they would probably be better at making support structures! They could reinforce the wooden beams with roots or vines.

So uhh *pull out coli guide* looks like Earth receives more damage from Wind, Water and Nature so those three...? jk jk nut I love the small lore bit in the Blasting Powder tooltip how Fire dragons can form the explosions fireworks pls so they must be essential to the digging efforts

Earth itself should be good at working rock. Water and Ice together, especially when working in turns, should be able to crack rock well. The already mentioned Arcane might be helpful too, provided you can control it well enough and there isn´t like... radiation left over or something. But personally, I wouldn´t really rely on element blasts at all. Just let a squad of Ridgies in there and you´re set, manual digging ought to be safer than explosives anyway. ;D
