Alright. Huge stretch here, but hear me out.
This could be a new plentiful breed.

Plentiful breeds are the only ones that can be found in unhatched eggs.
They're much, much more likely to get into the nooks and crannies of Sornieth - quite literally, even, seeing as we're in a cave and whatnot.
There's likely a whole city we've just uncovered, sealed away from the rest of the world... maybe some of its inhabitants are still around in some way or another?

either that or it could be a limited breed.

We do know of another breed notorious for storing their eggs in boxes.

It probably isn't, but I thought of that too. I'm going to wait to open my egg until after the 5th tunnel, just in case.

I like this idea, I just gotta wonder if they do add another plentiful, how would it be handled? Obviously, cheap scrolls in the MP, but what about progens? Would new accounts be able to choose the new plentiful breed for the custom progen? Would random progens be able to generate as the new breed?

[/quote] If it is a new plentiful breed, staff will probably handle it like they did the colorwheel expansion: limiting new players to the original 4 breeds for their custom/random progens. Adding a new plentiful breed wouldn’t change too much, considering that precedent… [size=2]EDIT: forgot to ping[/size]

If it's a new breed, I'm assuming the last chest will be a breed change scroll, with the implication that you can hatch yourself a new G1 then scroll it. I don't think they'd ever release a new plentiful breed, considering those are the ones available as progens, and they don't even let new players pick from the expanded colour wheel for that. Not that a new plentiful would HAVE to be a possible progen breed, but it would seem weirdly incongruous to have 4 plentifuls you can have as progens then one breed not included in that group just doing its own thing.

Though I think it would be interesting having this one outlier plentiful where the scrolls are 50k and you can get them from eggs but not as part of progen generation.
