I didn't like the way this event was handled, at least not in its entirely. Like, it was a pretty cool idea, I don't want to undermine the work of the devs and honestly, I did have a lot of fun participating and I would LOVE more events like this in the future

What I didn't like and it's driving me up a wall is the "surprise feature" at the end. I've been waiting for the anniversary update for a while, and when the day finally arrived we were met with a "wait and find out!" event. And now that the event is over, we have to wait a whole day to see what's at the end? I'm just tired, ok?

Next time I would prefer we get spoiled about what's at the end. Maybe not in detail, but if it is a new breed, just tell us it's a new breed. If it's a new coliseum feature, tell us it's a new coliseum feature. No need to be specific, but I want to feel the apropiate hype. I'm dreading that I will be dissapointed

Or maybe put at the end something that isn't a completely new feature? Maybe those who participated on the event get a complete set of the newest gem apparel, and after the event is over, it's just a regular purchase. Tie the new apparel to some lore and done! Or maybe something more exciting, like an (account locked)wildclaw scroll right before they come back on the store. Mini events to spice things up, alongside the swarms on the coli. Obviously, not as grand as DD. But it was a fun experience, just a little too dragged out for what it was and without the unbounded hype

I am feeling the same ways in a sense. I am very impatient and get very anxious with anticipation. All I can focus on is always the next thing. Yesterday was exactly how I was feeling when I checked to see if the oil count was finished yet about 10 times in the span of an hours. I appreciat excitement and anticiptation for a while until so much anxious flood my body. I don't think I will be disappointment at the end of this but I don't think I have enough patiences to wait yahaha

I enjoyed this event just the way it was, and I'm continuing to enjoy this last delicious anticipation. Please don't spoiler me; if I knew exactly what I was getting at the end it would just be a tedious grind, and we've got all the other events for that.

Can't we have just one event where there's a genuine element of surprise? For those people who like surprises?

The extra time is really helpful for people who are working or have external obligations, or are traveling and can't check as often, so I wouldn't want to see people miss out because of timezones or real life stuff. I've seen a lot of people panicked and staying up too late before they realize that they have the extra time to turn things in - eg people working mandatory overtime, caring for family, have emergencies come up, etc. I saw people raising concerns about not being able to come on on certain days for religious reasons as well, so having extra time helps with that too.

I think if they run events like this more often, we'll also get more used to the cooperative events. The style of events won't be as 'new and overwhelming' when it becomes more of the norm. If anything, I thought it ran significantly faster than I would have expected, and slowing it down more might help with some of the panic I've encountered about people "missing the event". When I first saw the feature, I imagined something more on the line of a few weeks or months of digging away.

If it becomes overwhelming though, it's always okay to step away for a bit.

I feel like the entire point of this event was to drum up hype and get people excited for what's ahead. Maybe they can do shorter events in the future, like three days instead of 5 and an extra day, but to spoil the surprise would, well, spoil the surprise.

I really liked this event and love not knowing what comes next. The day before a new elemental festival or NotN are my favorite points of them because I’m just so excited to see all the new stuff they come up with.

The last portion seems like it wasn’t supposed to take that long (oil rates were upped after a few posts about it) and this was likely a test to see how they should handle events like this in the future
