I just made a groundbreaking (no pun intended) realization about the Obelisks.
Though they are all very floofy, the females have much more chin floof.

I don't think it's just the angle, either. You can see the male's tapers quite a bit toward the edges, while the female's stays solid all the way around.

Honestly I didn't know what a dewlap was before this, for some reason I thought it had to do with what kind of mouthparts one has. It's apparently the thing I just considered their 'neckflap'.

For some reason I was thinking the loose flap on the throat of some lizard species. But yeah, the female IS a lot fluffier in the mane department.
The interesting thing to me is that I'm pretty sure they're based off of Shisa or Japanese lion guardians. And if they are, they did research into actual Shisa. Because one has an open mouth and the other has a closed mouth the same as a pair of Shisa. (wiki quote: Gender is variously assigned to the shisa. Some Okinawans believe the male has his mouth closed to keep bad out of the home, while the female has her mouth open to share goodness.[4] Others believe the female has her mouth closed to "keep in the good", while the male has his mouth open to "scare away the bad")
So since Shisa are lion guardians, it's kind of interesting to me that the female Obelisk is fluffier around the neck/mane area than the male.
