Not a bug report because I don't know if this is a bug or if I missed something but
Is anyone else's lair losing hunger differently all of the sudden? Like it's supposed to drop all at once twice a day right? Does it not do that anymore?
Today it's been dropping on individual dragons a point or two at a time apparently at random. I haven't noticed this before today.
I'm confused, is this the new thing or should I report it lol

@FalconRex121 it should only be one point per hunger tickdown, which is still three times a day (00:00, 08:00, and 16:00 FRT). that said, staff did change the way tickdown happens maybe a year or so ago to lessen the impact on the server. (apparently a few million dragons losing a point of energy all at once causes issues. :V)

but yeah, it takes a few minutes now. starts with the oldest dragons and slowly rolls out to the youngest ones. c:

They lose a point three times a day, yeah. They'll also lose 5 points if the entire coliseum party dies. I haven't noticed anything else? Maybe it's something with being able to feed dragons individually?

mmmmm I didn't know they changed it! My first thought was I was trying to feed during that tickdown but the times don't match. I'd like for it to be something more interesting to justify this thread more but I bet it's some variation of that ^^;;;

Is it possible you fed just one or two food types earlier, and now the dragons that couldn’t eat that type are now hungrier than the others? That happened to me before and I got confused lol

@Wizardry I also thought that but it didn't line up.
Okay so here's what happened.
At like, a little after 1700 I fed everyone, then it took me back to the lair and one little guardian was hungry even though I had plenty of points. So I fed everyone again, 1 food point was consumed, then a single skydancer was hungry when the page refreshed. Came back later and a couple more dragons were hungry.

I guess the regular point drop was maybe taking extra long?

The server tick down hunger of dragons starting from the oldest and going to the youngest. I got confused because of it a while back. So for example, a dragon hatched in 2017 will go hungry before a dragon hatched in 2021.

@Lixue I did know that for the old feeding order. This is the order they got hungry when it was being weird but for perspective I guess the aforementioned skydancer was born in 2015 and didn't get hungry till 1700. Makes me wonder if everyone was getting hungry really slow since it would have taken an hour to get through the first 10 million dragons? Shrug emoji.

Sorry to drop in on this thread since OP's question has been answered, but is there a certain point in time when it would be best to feed all dragons (actually at once) instead of feeding all again and again and again until they no longer get hungry?
Because it does bug me quite a bit that I keep returning to a hungry lair even after I click 'feed all'. I'll have fed them via the 'feed all' button, move to a different lair page and almost all of the dragons there will be hungry.. it's just frustrating. Like, how long does it take for all the dragons on the site to be hungry? Does anyone know that?
And is there a thread/post where staff explained the new hunger sytem? Because I was absent a few times for a few months or so each, I must have missed that, only figured out something was different now, when my dergs were hungry right after being fed, a few minutes past the 8:00am mark, and not gonna lie it just felt like there was an error or something with the feeding button.

It usually takes my lair a while to settle out once the hunger starts rolling in, so I just come back to it in a half hour or hour to feed /shrug

It did scare me the first few times it happened though, though I was going insane or the site was glitching.
