HUGE MOOD. a few days ago i looked at the background color of a drawing that im working on and thought "its periwinkle!"

For me the difference is I have artist friends who know colors based on art things. Like, the paints they use, or in once case, the crayons they learned colors from.
I have been an artist for a long time, and I didn't really think about color names for most of that time because I did digital art; I mostly just thought about RGB values. Now, I have a bunch of color names, and they have nothing to do with my art and 100% to do with the six years I've spent staring at pretty pixel dragons.

I can also say as an artist this game has changed how I talk about colors. things like cobalt and jade are already in my vocabulary, but I've found myself saying things like "abyss blue" or "moon gray" or "eldritch green" specifically referring to the colors on this site
