I'm confused as to what the contradiction is here. Is it the structure of the "hand" underneath the wing? I feel like that structure could be there on other spirals, but we can't see it because their wings are folded.

Yeah, but there would be a little bump or something there if it was present on normal spirals

You can see the hand better in the spiral hatchling pose. For adults you're looking at the top side of their wings

I think your blue arrow on the Female Spiral is pointing at a 'finger' instead of the 'wrist' where the hand would be. (*OP picture has since been edited.) On the Female Spiral pose, the hand would be hidden under the wing.
edit: spelling.

Breed art isn't a definitive statement of what a breed looks like, but rather just a sample.
So, maybe some spirals have the hands and others don't.
then again, one wing is covered by the body, and on the other it looks like there is a 'finger' folded up against the wing.
We are also seeing the underside of Roundsey's wing and the top of the breed art's wing.

Shh, I know. I just noticed it a bit late.
But Roundsey is still an abomination out for your money.

AndromedaFlight Her second backwing I think it behind the globe thing, but it would be funny to imagine her with only one lol
