I've seen like 5 people say they've made this mistake so I figured people should know this.

River Mucks are a familiar that can be found by gathering, so most people incorrectly assume they're worthless and melt or hoardsell them.

They're used in brewing the Sludge gene, and I've seen LAH prices as high as 150g for them. Lowest I've seen is around 70g. I'm assuming prices are high right now since people are gening up their Obelisks.

This also applies to Radioactive Slimes, which are used to brew the Slime gene, though those are not typically worth as much, with an LAH as of writing at 38g.

I've never even seen one drop :)

yep, they drop INCREDIBLY rarely in the coli– that's why they're the waterway item in the coliseum scavenger hunt, because they're such a pain to find :D

edited to add: most familiars (including bosses!) are dropped from their respective mobs at a rate of "scarce", the golem workshop bosses have a drop rate of "rare", and the river muck familiar drop rate is "very rarely"!

I melted a quite a few of mine because I was mindlessly making mats. I’m still kicking myself to this day.
