edit: but imagine the sheer chaos. you open up FR, and there's a notification. you click on it for it to reveal that you've been pinged. you click on it, it takes you to the forum post, and the thread is in tatters. @ everyone. flames are everywhere. torn flags waving in the smoky air. spears jutting out the ground. it is a frenzied scene of warfare and calamity. people are screaming. why did this guy ping everyone on the website? how did they do it? staff intervene but it's too late. the damage has been dealt. the forums never recover

Wasn't there actually a user some years back who was called Everyone just so they could pop up and barge in on those pings for the funsies?
