TOPIC | Tail percentages?
1 2
I've been thinking of this sort of thing for a while, buti think we tend to overblow the scale difference of dragon breeds because of the tail! we look at their total length as their SIZE but i personally believe a good chunk of that length can be chocked up to looooooong tail! (and necks) So i was thinking, what do yall think the average tail percentage is for each breed? at least based on the art. With that, we may be able to come up with a slightly more accurate average size difference between them. [emoji=banescale love size=1]

I really can't see obelisks as big as they are told, so this kinda helps my head lol

yeah, tail and neck can make up the length of a lot of dragons, especially Mirrors! those tails are HUGE. they just have like ... mega whips on their butts.
tailwhip attack!

[/quote] totally agree, looking at my progen i think the tail could be more than %50 of their total body length! Nocturnes look like they have comparatively long tails to their necks and bodies.

Skydancers have long tails but also long necks and fairly short bodies.

Veils have long tails, short necks, and long bodies.

Pearls also have long tails and short necks and somewhat mid-sized bodies.

Imperials look like they have a fairly even ratio of neck to body to tail, with the tail maybe being longer by a small margin.

Bogsneaks have VERY long necks and tails compared to their stubby bodies.

Gaolers have very long tails in comparison to their stocky bodies and necks.

Banes look like they have longer tails than necks and bodies.

Seems the trend is two of the segments are long and one is short, or one is very long and the other two are short.

Hey, friendly reminder to drink water, stretch, and take a short break if you can. Stay healthy! Also, don't forget about any chores or tasks you might be putting off.
