tfw u see someone in the AH selling 5 whole frost delvers :((((((

jfncrijnf fr tho i am at all times dying over frost delvers and stone borers. they're the only familiars i have left for my collection (other than a couple fiona ones i havent awakened the components for yet... one of which... is the rogue excavator... im dying)

i have a coli team but they are... not great at golem workshop and i do not have the time or energy to make a magic team and learn how to use them to try and get them from the coli, and i... do not have 100-150 dollars depending on the market fluctuations ^^;

(for the record my collection does not include most sprites or the kickstarters, so its not like my beastiary is only missing 4 familiars lol. its just the familiars that are feasible to get! I know many of the sprites are obtainable, but I'd drive myself crazy only having most of them but not being able to get others! I'm happy just having my Ice Sprite (home flight) and Wind Sprite (current flight) in my lair lol. ive even managed to get most of the downtime familiars! akirbeak is just... way to expensive though so they're grouped in with kickstarter fams for me)

i want a boolean so baddd but they're impossibly expensive [emoji=obelisk sad size=1] it feels incomplete without one but i'm never going to get one. i will have all the sprites and [i]ideally[/i] the downtime familiars but the kickstarter fams are just. out of reach unfortunately

Ah, magic healers are pretty simple. They heal and have an elemental attack. Fire dragons can do Burn, which deals more damage. Ice dragons can Freeze, which stops the opponent from attacking you. Nature dragons can apply Poison, that damages the enemy each turn and so on. My healer is Fire because I mean we all do only physical damage with Eliminate. @mindfuzz you are stronger than i am kjsfnvkjenv the mere concept of paying 600USD for a light sprite... i do not have that kind of disposable income [emoji=skull size=1] getting my wind and ice sprites was hard enough! @Romaki i defo appreciate the advice! ive been going off the... god, ancient [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/gde/1040710/1]how to train your dragon guide[/url] for which i was leveling a lightning dragon who is... still under level 10. whoops. , httyd guide did help me get 4 dragons to level 25 though! but that was during a period of my life with... a lot more free time and a lot of hyperfocus available ^^; though i suppose i could just... take the L and re-stone one of them. which had not occurred to me until literally right now wtf. my level 25s are literally 2 ice dragons and 2 light dragons, and the httyd guide suggests a light dragon with enamor.... im a Fool............ fejkbvekjht well time to consider doing that i suppose, but are the drop rates even worth it? probably not. it doesnt help that i'm also just... an abysmal gamer, like bad at pokemon level bad, so i get fed up pretty quickly lol

The Culex/HTTYD guide is great for levelling, but not for grinding - as you've noticed, it's super old! For grinding in the modern coliseum, this (133 str) is the build you need:

Element-wise, it really does not matter for any grinding build. The only builds you need to worry about element with is double-fodder trainers, and most of those you just have to not pick the worst options.

(P.S. It's super rare for people to only buy gems to buy stuff like Light Sprites. The site provides a lot across the whole population, and you can trade treasure for gems with other users. There are plenty of players who have never bought gems but still have Light Sprites and KS items because they bought/sold well, provided services like levelling and art, or even got really lucky at Roundsey!)

as vendrus said, element really doesn't matter if your build is solid enough bc you'll be knocking them out willy nilly. that said, i will drop my two cents in and say my caster is wind for the sheer, outta this world satisfaction of disorienting bosses. stop hitting yourself, borer, ya big dummy

im aware of the many ways to make money on here, most of them just require a greater time investment than i can give, skillsets i dont have, a general level of attention to Dragon Capitalism (tm), and less impulsivity than i play with ^^;
most of my projects get all their genes in one day because i get impatient LOL saving up is not my strong suit.
you would think after 6 years of playing i would have picked some up but alas, i get bored quick ^^; plus all of the ventures ive tried have crashed and failed pretty quick oopsie its not something i need though, im perfectly happy with things being unobtainable for me!
i do this for fun, and i dont find saving and waiting fun, so the things that require that just arent in the cards for me, and thats okay! i find the things just barely out of reach (like borer and delver) waaay more frustrating than things far out of reach (like akirbeak) because they feel way realer and way closer lol
Dragon Capitalism (tm) is definitely super fun for other people, and i have nothing against it obv, i just do not have the attention span to buy low and sell high and track market value and create consumables etc etc etc ^^;;;;; major respect for those who can tho

@reliquiaen i can definitely see the satisfaction in that! completely unrelated however: your vista is gorgeous! i went looking for it in the database but couldent find it, given that you've been playing since 2013 im guessing its pretty dang old/exclusive?

I feel you, dude. I'm not missing the GW bosses but I'm missing almost every boss between the Forgotten Cave and the Boreal Woods. I need to spend most of my coli time levelling fodder.
