Since Roblox Spongebob Obbys can turn into different types of statues depending on their element…
Do…
Do plague obelisks turn into bone??
Or ground meat statues??
If an arcane obelisk turns into pink chalcedony, like most rock in the starfall isles, does that mean that they can be weaponized via putting them somewhere where radiation usually isn’t, making them turn into statues, and thus irradiating the area??
Do nature obelisks turn into wood statues?? Do they have leaves?? Can they perform photosynthesis??
If an ice obelisk turns into ice, can they be melted??
Would a water obelisk turn into coral?? Coral’s a living thing so that would be somewhat concerning- would they become a coral hivemind type thingy??

i thought it was more a kind of stone that would be more common in the area rather than just some random element. so i'd imagine Plague would be some kind or red rock(bloodstone?). Nature might be like, tigers eye?

is very likely to take your posts literally - has difficulty discerning if tone is joking
I could be off base, but I have a hunch this question could be answered when we see plague's fest familiar this year, seeing as statues seem to be the theme.

I think it's based off rocks/minerals commonly found in that flight's area.
The encyclopedia states that Earth turn to basalt and Wind turn to Jade.
If it wasn't based off rocks/minerals I'd say the Wind one would turn into something else commonly found there like some weirdly formed bamboo, bonsai (? their trees sorta look like them), or whatever common looking rock those frog/aergate rocks are.
Personally, I'd say Plague would turn into some type of red stone just due to the area being iron rich, which creates the red sand as mentioned in this familiar's description:
[item=shattered serpent]
But I'm not exactly sure what stone is common for each flight (aside from Earth basalt and Wind's Jade since they're mentioned). Maybe Fire's is some form of obsidian or granite since that's what magma can form according to google.

Familiar
So many Shattered Serpents live in the Abiding Boneyard that the sand itself looks as though it's rippling like an ocean.

Shadow: onyx
Light: marble
Lightning: unrefined copper ores
Ice: permafrosted dirt? Earth is mostly dirt and rocks so I don't see why obes could only be stone
Nature: coal or petrified wood
Plague: fossilized bone
Arcane: hard agree on the pink chalcedony

Personally, I’m taking inspiration from the various deity effigies, as well as the ones already stated in the encyclopedia:
[item=Plaguebringer Bone Scrimshaw] [item=Flamecaller Terracotta Figure] [item=Shadowbinder Onyx Idol]
Plague obes would be bones, Fire obes would be terracotta, Shadow obes would be onyx, and so on.

Plaguebringer Bone Scrimshaw
Trinkets
A menacing engraving of the Plaguebringer. It is scrawled on the side of a large bonespike and reeks of decay.
105
Flamecaller Terracotta Figure
Trinkets
A clay likeness of the Flamecaller that was fired in the Great Furnace. It still maintains a smolder.
105
Shadowbinder Onyx Idol
Trinkets
A razor-sharp onyx idol fashioned to resemble the Shadowbinder. The chiseled surface appears to completely absorb and obscure light.

My obbie turned out to be Plague, but she's in my Nature lair and her morphology after gening is very Nature-like...Of course the flights are two sides of the same coin. To blend in, she appears to be a wood carving covered in lichen and fungi...Rotting, seemingly, but actually nurturing very important forms of life.

Well, I guess I am never having a permanent Arcane Obelisk then, lol. My clan is supposed to NOT be turning into pink chalcedony thanks to their Emblems and Sashes. As for the question, I would hard agree on bone... at least until Riot of Rot confirms or denies it.

Dragons are already made of meat and bones. I think they'd still turn into some sort of stone.
