Yes I know, Plague is a very good assumption for a two-headed possibly fused dragon. In fact my favorite theory I've seen is that it'll be based off of rat kings... But it's my second guess, because you know what other flight is known for strange, mutated looking beasts? Arcane! You know what flight has the deity with extra limbs? Arcane!
Some more things to consider, and bear with me because a lot of these are loose interpretations:
- Forbidden Portal has a handful of monsters that fit this aesthetic.
- Remember the rat king thing I mentioned? Yeah I still think it's a plague thing, but interestingly enough, the coliseum enemy associated with it is actually an Arcane elemental...hmmm...
Ghostly Rat Lord
(The darker, red-eyed counterpart is Neutral but probably would've been changed to Plague for balancing reasons)
- Arcanist wants to understand those cosmic horrors leaking out through the forbidden portal, and is not afraid to pursue the truth whatever that may entail. Experimentation, maybe?
- Arcanist is the youngest deity and his inexperience may lead to some...less practical dragon creations in terms of physical form.
- Speaking of practicality, the Plaguebringer has a more pragmatic approach to the world. It's all about evolution and survival of the fittest with her, so why would she willingly create a child that can't eat or move efficiently with its weak wings and an extra mouth to feed?
Why Plague is still a good (and maybe better) guess:
- It's been said that the Plaguebringer releases experimental strains of calamity.
- You can interpret the reasoning for the 2 heads a different way. Perhaps they're actually more efficient. Or they're actually harder for the dragon to deal with but she wanted to pose them a challenge through constant rivalry.
- They just look plague. These skinny dudes they resemble are plague themed too . Like I said, was also probably meant to be plague. Just look how red its eyes are. Spooky.
- Speaking of their looks, one of them seems to have a beak. Mirrors also have beaks. And sharp talons. Both of these are features that vultures use to help them scavenge.
I also wonder why the horns visibly stick out on one head but not the other. Something very interesting is going to come out from this.
By the way, if it's Plague, it can't--or rather shouldn't--be a zombie/mini Luminax because Plaguebringer doesn't vibe with that.
