Flight Rising Discussion

i've seen a lot of posts about what flight the new ancient might be, possible lore etc, but how do you think it'll be obtained?

i kind of doubt it'll be another gem breed, given that the most recent ancient is a gem breed. i saw someone mention coliseum-exclusive and that would certainly be interesting (especially if it coincides with a new venue, but that's probably asking too much)

i was also thinking - given how chaotic and "stitched together" it looks with the multiple tails, bird feet, and possibly multiple heads, i could see that also being a baldwin breed? although i'm not sure if that would conflict with lore if it does end up being a flight-aligned breed...

or maybe it'll just be another marketplace gene! (hopefully treasure)

I don't think it'll be baldwin, because lore-wise, it doesn't fit. Coli exclusive would be interesting.

Probably just another Marketplace breed change scroll. But, I would love to see the scroll be dropped as loot.

A random dragon in your clan will turn into one, and no one will know until someone in FRD posts a thread asking about it.

i mean, if we're really going all out with theories, what about release along with gathering revamp? could be a high-level scavenging reward? if it does end up being a plague breed as a lot of folks are thinking, it'd certainly be fitting. i honestly doubt it'll be released that way, but who knows?

I'd love for it to be a coli drop, but that would be unfair to people who can't grind there due to various reasons. I can certainly imagine a few genes being coli-exclusive, though! And I like the idea of it being linked to the new holiday, like Nocturnes.

I think coli would be most exciting to me but marketplace is probably the most likely. A nocturne like drop associated with new event would be cool and would make sense but I’m not so sure that we would get two new breeds in the same summer.
