TOPIC | [psa] Friendly Reminders for Battle/Coli
1 2
Hey guys, my last one of these was two years ago and the time has just flown by. After a semi-long hiatus, I actually return for a bit.

I've seen multiple notes about the stresses that the major battle is causing, and how people are frustrated with themselves and each other, so I figured it was time to pull out my good ole PSA tips.

Before I begin listing, please know that I mean all of these in the best way possible, I don't know you or your personal struggles, I'm just trying to find a way to lighten the atmosphere for everyone and provide general tips.

On to the actual PSA lol!

TO ALL GRINDERS, WHETHER COLI OR EXALT

1. Please Hydrate! You have lots of fluids in you, make sure to keep those levels topped up! Not drinking enough can leave you with headaches and strains, and you don't need that. Have a drink near you while you grind!

2. Refuel! Have you eaten recently? Please find yourself a snack if you need one. I recommend fruits or cheeses, get sugars and protein. Lightheaded from hunger is not fun :(

3. Adjust your position, move around a bit, get moving! You've been grinding for a while now, it's okay to take a break, I promise. Your extremities will thank you

4. In addition to #3, make sure that you are comfortable! Grab a blanket, or a hot/cold drink, something that makes you feel good. Move outside if you want, and remember to stretch out your neck! Cricks are the actual worst, especially if you plan to grind more later.

5. Take a moment to focus on your hands individually, stretch them out and flex those fingers! You got this!

6. Please take a break every 15-20 minutes or sooner if you want, and look away from your screen and across the room, at an object 20-30 feet (6.9-9.15 meters) away for 30 seconds. (I learned this trick after my first concussion, it's a good way to reduce eye strain and to evaluate if you want to continue.)

7. If the weather/environment is permitting, go outside and breath in fresh air for a few minuets, the break will feel nice.

8. I know that it is easy to get discouraged if you don't get the big drops, or if your party dies. Keep track of the small things! The familiars, chests, den items, anything that makes you happy to see it in the loot table.

9. If you are feeling grungy, take the opportunity to shower, or bathe, or stand in a sprinkler! Use a damp washcloth if you want! You'll feel better after a short break to refresh yourself.

10. Take a break, or a nap. It's okay and normal to get burnt out. Move away from the screen, sit for a minute in the quiet. Barring any site wide emergencies, the Coli will still be waiting when you get back. It's okay to take a break.

In summary, please take care of your physical and mental health while grinding, because both of those are very important, and you are more important than time on this dragon game.

Take care of yourselves guys, and be on the lookout for eye strain and headaches. Get ahead of the curve!

Please remember self care, because I know that I forget sometimes. No one wants you to get sick over a pixel dragon game, and driving yourself to exhaustion won't help.

Please, please, please take care of yourselves out there, the coli will still be here when you return.
