TOPIC | How do dragons use these weapons?
1 2 3
(Pardon how my thoughts organized here, kinda just rambled! I am interested in what others think though!)

Specifically, the weapons currently available as apparel? I'm talking swords, lances, bows, and now a halberd, I think.

Don't get me wrong, I love the apparel pieces, and I'm loving what the new event has introduced, but I can't for the life of me figure out why would dragons use and design weapons that aren't practical for them to use or wield effectively? XD

(Then there's the thing with Duscarve Dig that's been bothering me since it happened; why would a Snapper, with what the encyclopedia describes as, "thick, blunted nails that enable them to break through the shale of the Shattered Plains" need to use a pickaxe? Like, the use of a pickaxe kinda, to me, weakens my perception of the Snapper's natural abilities to dig and break through Earth. Makes me see them as less powerful too, like humans, frail as we are, who need tools with almost everything. Ruins the image of powerful dragons for me, a bit.)

I'd get it if the weapons were designed for dragons specifically (like the battle-claws for owls from Guardians of Ga'hoole), but ones designed by and for humans? ^_^;

At most I can see dragons wearing these as like a status symbol, or rank, by adorning the weapons of the beastclan folk they have slain.

Have you ever dug with your bare hands? It gets tiring after awhile. I imagine the snapper have similar issues. Although Edgar could have technically dug the tunnels with his bare hands, it wouldn't have been as effective, and it would have been more tiring. I would guess that the same goes for the dragons with weapons. Although the technically don't need them, they can use them to advance their skills.

You're point about them using them as a status symbol also seems pretty accurate, and definitely leans itself to world building.

i think that our art doesn't accurately depict a lot of dragons actual physical abilities and they can do things that you would not expect from a Earth creature perspective. much like you know, be able to fly with their body types. as they built a society with item creation, i think they all have to have some sort of manual dexterity.

we also know that the images of dragons we see are not what they all look like, and have body variations, so it is entirely possible that many of them can actually wield items with some degree of efficiency.

or the devs are just going for a human related armor/weapons look for recognition rather than try and think up how the equitable item would be for dragons. much like a lot of clothing we have on here that clips through all their body parts.

is very likely to take your posts literally - has difficulty discerning if tone is joking
Step 1) Put super glue in your hand
Step 2) Get your hands stuck on your weapon
Step 3) ???

The ones with hand-like appendages might wield them like normal, especially while flying. More magic-aligned dragons may levitate the weapons around them, creating a swarm of sharp objects.

Snapper feet are like play-dough and just kind of mold around objects, clearly

The dragons, much like people, are not a monolith. The encyclopedia's give a general overview of some of their possible capabilities but the exact traits and abilities vary from individual to individual.

Dragons are also a people, with their own culture and technology and one of the hallmarks of those are the use of tools. Just because they can break through (a relatively soft) rock with their claws doesn't mean they want to or can do that with all kinds of rock all the time.

I think these were requested apparel items. So it may not be logical, but some folks want it.

I don't have a problem with weapons, though I do see your point that they should be more fit to dragon anatomy rather than just human weapons. But, some folks want their dragons to stand on their hind legs all the time, so I think that's a part of it.
