as the person in charge of your dragons i mean?
I see myself as an invisable being influencing my dragons indirectly to make the decisions they do, they'd make similar decisions i just give that "push"

Really for me, I view myself as my progen? The decisions she makes are the ones I make as well, in essence. As for the parts of my clan run by other dragons, I tend to let the characters have their own agency. Once i make up a personality for them, I can easily ask ‘what would so and so do in this situation’ and get a pretty good idea of what that would be.

yeah! my character's have their own agency, so it's easy for me to decide what they would and wouldn't do
my custom progen started as a self insert type character, she still is a bit
but i decided to separate myself and her, although current personality's wise, both my progens are the two halves of my thinking: rational and emotional

I view myself more as a ghost watching their favorite TV show and screaming at the characters because they're oblivious as heck.
"You know, the show got better when they moved to Wind and it became Glorious Winds instead of Glorious Tundra"
"these are random dragons not a show"
"Shut."

well there is my namesake dragon/dragonsona, but that one isn't any kind of commander/leader, and has pretty much no association to the others anyway. the dragons are doing things themselves. there is no 'influence' going on, they are just going about their business by their own choice.

is very likely to take your posts literally - has difficulty discerning if tone is joking
I tend to view it in 2 different ways. Either someone with a god like power lesser than the deities or someone telling a long tale and the story unfold as the characters develop. Maybe a demi-god of stories?
