I only breed my own fodder, so it's not something I've personally noticed, but with how treasure is easier than ever to acquire with G&G, I'm not surprised about the rise in general.

Seems like people are holding onto their hatchlings to grow up in the den before selling instead of selling the dragons as hatchlings, meaning the floor slowly creeps up. That, or more people are buying all of the cheap 4kt hatchlings to flip themselves.

I don't really have any thoughts about that since I gave up flipping as my main income source a long time ago, but I might be missing the point. The Hibernal Den was a game changer for money-making methods regarding dragons, and sometimes there are negative side effects including hatchling flipping no longer being super profitable as well as Dominance battles becoming more expensive.
Never thought of it from a DOM perspective too on how it can raise the expense. Seems like it makes DOM even more less worth. Makes me really hope they add or revamp dom sooner than later.
This is the sad reality. :( Battles used to happen much more frequently and now we're lucky to have more than a handful per year. It's just so easy to store preleveled dragons to flood at the start or wait until the very end to maximize profits with can very quickly dry up a flight's bank. I would love to see a Dominance revamp that adds more ways to contribute to Dominance to try and make it more cheap to push. If there are alternatives that don't use exalting for a profit, then it also makes the system more accessible to people who don't use the Coliseum for one reason or another. It's probably low on the revamp priority list, though, along with Achievements, so we might have to wait a while longer.

Yes, I noticed that too. Back then hatchlings were just 4kt and adults could go for 7kt. I used to flip fodder now it's getting less and less profitable. I think it has to do with the hibernal den where players just buy hatchlings to keep them in the dens until they grow up instead of buying adults have more limitations on the lair space. Fewer and fewer players are buying dragons now. Soon maybe, one day adults and hatchlings won't have a difference in prices.

Also as more people began flipping fodder it's naturally become less profitable due to the extra competition...

Also I think there's also an inflation aspect to it where the treasure has been steadily inflating for a while - I remembered back then the exchange rate was 1 gem to less than 1000 treasure, then it reached 1:1300 at one point. Steadily the prices of hatchlings also increase to reflect that, though this isn't a very prominent factor since adult prices havn't increased but only decreased. (Maybe adults did increase? I remember back then it was around 6.5k)

Noticing the treasure inflation, I want to quickly convert my treasure into gems, and I did that by buying hatchlings with treasure and selling them as adults with gems. (It's hard to find someone to convert after all) I guess maybe many other players have this same mindset and all which results in the hatchling prices staying high and adult prices in gems going lower. I don't really want to exalt anymore with the treasure inflation, around 10-11k per dragon and this amount hasn't changed, and with inflation the value I'd get exalting a dragon would be lower in the long run.

All of this makes me think that there need to be a way to get rid of all the treasure in the game to stop inflation.
Like, maybe have players have a max amount they can poses at a time, or releasing new apparel for extremely high prices or something.
Idk.
I dont think a cap is a good idea, but I do 100% agree we need more sinks. I guess to kill two birds with one stone, what if you could just dump treasure into dom to provide boosts for your clan? We would need better boosts and the boosts would have a cap, but it would still be a means of a sink.
Putting the treasure into dom directly is a good idea in my opinion. Edit: and I just accidentally hit submit without writing anything more than this...

We got something like roundsey, she's a good treasure sink, but she's not enough still. What happens if den expansion required treasure instead of gems?

And also some kind of carnival (maybe in fairgrounds) where you can buy tickets with treasure and play their short minigames to get a variety of prizes. Most of the time the prizes are pretty mundane, but on rare occasions there are limited edition items as prizes, which can be retired periodically to ensure there is a substantial customer base.

I sell fodder. I sell as hatchlings because I hatch every day, and I don't have the room in my lair and HD to hold them till they grow up. I do keep in mind how much exulting lairs get per dragon when I price, and while I suppose it wouldn't hurt to personally lower my prices, it would take a concerted effort to bring fodder-inflation back down a bit.

I just don't play as much when the floor's too high. It's high right now because there was a highly anticipated battle in August and another battle coming up in November iirc, so people are recovering and stocking back up.

I've only been buying fodder at 5kt or below. I just spend my time doing other things rather than training fodder if I don't have fodder to train.
