before i went inside i tried to scoot them onto a leaf but they leaped off super quick!
i tried googling it since ive never seen a bug like that before with no luck.
but when i gathered today, i got this little guy!
[item=common froghopper]
is this the same bug?
i cant believe they made the bug from flight rising in real life
probably, several fr animals are based off real-life ones.
for example, off the top of my head real food item birds are: java sparrow, wood duck (drake), both swans, common sparrow (though it resembles a muted goldfinch in pattern), and i'd wager the drifting duck is based off a real one too.

Leafhoppers in general are such pleasantly adorable beings, I love them. I love it when they visit me in my room so I gently catch them, smooch them and then release them.
Actually, I'm just gonna say that Cicadomorpha are all blessed beings
Another edit: I can confirm that most food items we have are creatures you can find on Earth, in one form or another. I've categorised and/or identified a lot of them. Sometimes they might be of different colour and have slight alterations but they're real organisms. For example:

Plant
True to its name, this plant's leaves are favored as snacks due to their sweet, cooling taste.
