I have a few dragons that I've been debating scattering for a minute, and have even been tempted to scatter dergs with bad tert but beautiful prim/sec combos.

Yet I also have a dragon that I find wholely unappealing in every way, yet I can't make the leap and just...redo him.

What kind of scatter lives do y'all live?

I've scattered three dragons so far, all G1s. In all three cases, their colors were a bit too similar to G1s I already had, plus I just didn't like their colors.

I've found it helpful to let the dragons sit in my lair for at least a couple of days before making a decision. While scrying them, I ask myself, "Am I trying different morphs because I genuinely like how these colors look, or because I'm desperate to find a gene combo that works?" If it's the latter, it's scatterin' time.

@Hippogaia I had literally not considered a life where scattering did not happen

It has always been my back-up plan for the unpleasing derg I've had for years, lmaooo but I also do a lot of oldy rescuing, so no yeeting!!!

i think most time, i would nt scater. would sell or scrap. but: if deraogn the have the HIGH sentiMEALNT the valurwe. i would scater :) much expensive, but i am too attcah.

I think that scattering is a bad mechanic and I refuse to use it.

@LuminaxOfficial I think I generally only scatter for sentimental dragons, too! If I didn't care about a derg, I wouldn't bother keeping it haha

@Strangeflesh hmmm, interesting. I certainly don't agree, but I've honestly never heard of someone thinking it was actively bad. Huh.

I agree with @empanada, most of my dragons have effectively only primary and secondary colors because I simply don't feel the need to gene terts if I don't need it! The times I did scatter were for a sentimental dragon and this one fully gem gened banescqle I picked up for cheap because his colors were bad. I also got frustrated at a bad hatch one and scattered it immediately to an xyy, but my luck has never been so good since.

I've stopped trying to scatter anything now, even the bane and that dragon. It's just not worth my time.

If I accidentally scatter an incredibly sentimental dragon to me. Not that that's happened or anything.
