Man.

I have a project to add some new blood to a subspecies i like, and i have a pair that, in each direction of the color range for their secondary, is only one off. it's a range of 10 colors, meaning 8 of them are accepted, 2 of them aren't. i wanted a male with nature eyes, because i noticed a lack of nature dragons in the subspecies, and i have a female who needs a partner.

so obviously the rng gods told me to take a hike because the only male in a 3 egg nest had the wrong secondary. also got facet eyes, to add insult to injury.

my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. ONE JOB, you guys, ONE JOB

I'm trying to breed a subspecies' pairs too (and some will need genes anyway)

But they have 50/50 for stained, which is needed and I don't want to buy gem genes... RNG likes to give me the other 50 or the right 50 and the wrong gender. lol

RNG seems to often roll the di the wrong way. I had a 5 egg nest once with 50/50 odds (either gender) - 100% hatched the wrong 50%. And, of course, a rare pair for breeding in the first place, so not like I could just hop out and try again. Have to wait for that pair to be ready again..........
