TOPIC | thoughts on buying dragons to lvl&sell?

i really don't like it when people buy dragons just to resell them at a higher price, but i really like leveling dragons up, but don't want to offer leveling services since it's a thing i like doing at my own, slow space.

so, would it be rude if i started buying pretty G1s to level them up to 25 and then sell?

edit: ty for the replies, i think i'm gonna start doing it!

I don't see why it would be rude, it's all part of the site and how it works. Once you sell a dragon, regardless of where it goes you're no longer allowed to say what happens to it.

I say go for it! Make them stonks

There's nothing at all wrong with buying a dragon to resell leveled or otherwise :D The seller got a price they felt was fair for the dragon and the buyer gets to try their luck at getting a higher price.

It’s not rude, and you’re not just reselling them - you’re putting in a lot of work to level them. I do this all the time for profit.

It would be extremely out of place for someone to think doing this is rude, to be honest!

technically exalting is buying a dragon at a lower price, leveling up, then selling them to the dieties for a higher price

but seriously, its not rude. people that sell dragons don't want them anymore and (mostly) understand once its sold, the new owner can do whatever they want with them

It's one of my favorite things to do when I actually feel up to it! I buy a pretty, decently cheap derg that I think looks neat, then level them to 25 to sell for 200-250g. It's probably less money to be made than just mire flying with two fodder dragons for the time spent, but it's a fun little goal and I'm always excited to see where they end up once they're bought ^^

Ofc not. I think the owner wouldnt mind if you kept their dragons from being exalted.

I do this often too.
I tend to buy fodder priced dragons that I find prettier, level them, make them an outfit - if I have time - and then place them on sale again. I don't think it's a bad thing since the dragon might get a chance to get a new, permanent home. Selling them on a higher price isn't a bad thing either since I've put time and energy on the levelling. I do this with my own hatchlings too. I quite like to coli and since I am not good in any other things (art / accent making), the coli is the only way for me to make some profit. But I am also afraid to make a levelling service, since I am not that fast and I often have other things to do - like grinding after a specific familiar, item - so it's better for me to buy a dragon and level them whenever I have the time and mood. If the previous owner wouldn't be okay with this, I think they could search me anytime to ask the dragon back. :)
