i see some ror threads popping up which means it's plague time!! being a former plague member i like to hear what ppl think about the flight lore-wise.. so tell me ur headcanons about it!

i hc that plague fashion is actually really pretty but in a sort of scrapped-together way. like a short dress that's stitched and sewn together with intricate patterns. i think leather would also be pretty big there.
alsoo i think a lot of plague dragons would be very loyal to each other- or at least those they know well
i think plague would also really like storytelling- there's probably many, many oral stories originating in plague passed through generations that have never been written down.

my headcanon would be that Plague dragons are very biologically ... unstable(? not exactly the word i'm looking for) in that part of why they like taking trophies from their enemies is that over time due to their mutagenic nature, it could become part of themselves and become an improvement. like the whole carapace armor might become a carapace for themselves.

which is why you would throw yourself into battle constantly against ever stronger opponents, as you yourself would become stronger from doing such!

or maybe by eating them and getting evolution points like in EVO: the search for eden XD

is very likely to take your posts literally - has difficulty discerning if tone is joking
So like Mad Max style outfits? I dig it.

Plague dragons do actually mourn their dead loved ones, and usually repurpose them to aid themselves in some way, such as using their bones as armor and the like. It’s to honor their attempt at survival, by using what remains of them to survive themselves.

[/quote] reminds me of cubone, but i like this a lot too! i can imagine a ritual where some parts of the dead are grafted(?) onto those that were close to them, like scales and such, and this way they never truly die. or for maned breeds, hanging onto a lock of hair/fur as a good luck charm.

When many dragons think of Plague, they decide they know what to expect plenty well. A shambling, sickly beast with trophies of gore placed haphazardly, nothing more than a mindless and wild foe. This is anything but the truth.

Plague dragons know better than anyone of adaptations. When it comes to matters they find important, the studious nature of a Plague dragon can put Arcane and Lignt dragons to shame. They will track creatures for miles on end, the ecology of the Plague domain ever changing, and see what makes them… WORK. From there, they learn to copy it.

Bones arranged on one’s flank in such a way that a claw strike against them will be trapped in the web of sharpened skeletal remains, perfect for a counterattack. An injury perfect for a cheap shot was in fact a masterfully “painted” clump of bacteria or toxins. They can mimic other injuries such as broken bones, including those any dragon not from Plague would assume to be fatal. This is all gained through individual study of the Scarred Wasteland, making no two dragon’s strategies quite alike.

We survive for a reason, and it is from learning what works and discarding what doesn’t.

A formal monotone is my default; I can assure you that any pings or replies that seem “serious” are not. I’d be delighted to befriend any of you, truly!
plague dragons actually have an amazing but strange sense of humor, mostly from trying to lighten up the mood in the worst of plaguebringer's challenges. same goes for them being one of the best music artists, making instruments from leather and bones. maybe they heard some travelers from different flights playing stuff on guitars and decided it sounded too nice to pass up.

i also like to imagine plague sprites just hanging out on dead trees, throwing mushroom bits at travelers for funsies
