Tomo's toes also look a bit more like something that can actually be used as oppose to just elephant feet. Armik totally used that mining pick without gluing it to himself or magic.

I think it's the smile and tilt of the head-- I agree that it looks sort of like a Disney villain talking to their pet familiar.
