I think that dragons in the Plague Region are actually very generous and kind to one another. I know being a Plague dragon is all about survival, and many people interpret that as being selfish and only looking out for themselves. However I think the opposite.

They know how harsh their home is, why wouldn't they want to make it easier for one another to survive? My headcannon is that most Plague dragons will help one other quite often. Like for example, If an elderly dragon was sick and unable to hunt for their own food other dragons would help and share their own.

Plague dragons are about survival, but they're also about helping others survive.

Id love to know your guys thoughts on this!
(Now its also possible I missed somewhere in the lore that completely disproves this, however its still a nice thought.)

I think they would band together against combat threats, like enemy dragons or giant monsters, but I think getting sick especially is a big no-no in Plague society--basically, if your immune system isn't strong enough, you're not a real Plague dragon anyway? That was the attitude toward Garote's injuries in BotE, and I think the devs stated somewhere that Plague healers purposefully apply germs to injuries to strengthen your immune system.

@ColorfulLava
I think that the Plague Doctors think that they are helping that dragon get stronger. So it still fits in what I'm saying. (Even though that practice is probably not all that effective).

I agree. Bands of survivors become found family.

Mirrors already form fluid bands for hunting, so applying that to the rest of Plague does make sense. Mirrors don't seem to be very caring, since they do tend to leave one behind if they're too injured to keep up, but they also accept help from other dragons and rejoin their pack once they're well again. Perhaps those "other dragons" originally were other Plague dragons of different species.

plague is one of the most brutal flights to live in, but plague dragons are the most wholesome.

My clan's canon is basically that they don't help each other unless they're particularly friends, and everyone lives in the same area but don't consider everyone there acquaintances. Like a hotel almost.

I can picture a few of my dragons helping others in need to put them in debt, though. Like, hah, now that I saved your life, you owe me a future favor! Tbh my clan varies a lot but many of them are of that classic Plague "save yourself".

I personally prefer this over the actual site lore. I also think they would make the best doctors and vaccines rather than letting each other succumb and not be good enough. Vaccines help build immunity and help increase the chance of survival and build herd immunity...which is also not a canon site lore thing.

I think they're a lot more vicious than the other clans, willing to get down and dirty a lot faster for the sake of survival. I also see them as having an issue with wasting things, as part of their scavenger nature. Everything has a use and by darned are they going to know how to use things.

It's generally easier to survive in harsh conditions in groups instead of on your own, so I think it makes perfect sense! At the very least, Plague dragons would likely advise any newcomers on local environmental hazards, where to find food and water, etc.

...actually, now I'm wondering if Plague would be like the Oregon Trail, with caravans, small towns where travelers can take a rest and exchange information/supplies, hired guides.....hmmmmmm.
