Welcome to FR!

kt = treasure measured in thousands
g = gems (i accidentally said gold before sorry)
they're currencies :)

you can get new dragons from the Auction House or from trading with other players! Some shops in Dragons for Sale give away free dragons and Raffles & Giveaways have a bunch of threads for free dragons I believe!

@sav101w: Hey, welcome to FR! Kt just means 1000 treasure (the main game currency), represented by the [emoji=treasure size=1] icon. So, 5kt would be 5000 treasure. G stands for gems, represented by the [emoji=gem size=1] icon. Gems are our premium currency, you can buy them with real money, but they're pretty easy to earn in game. The exchange rate fluctuates, but generally 1g is about equal to 1kg. You can buy new dragons on the auction house! Just go to the "dragons" tab and you'll find plenty for sale. I'm not sure what you mean by "codes." Could you explain that? Once again, welcome to FR! We have a great community here, I really hope you enjoy it here! :)

k stands for thousand and t for teasure. So 100kt would be 100,000.

G stands for Gems.

And you can buy dragons from the Auction House.

Welcome to dragon neopets!

everyone covered the basic questions, so here, to add on:

Fairgrounds is where you'll make most of your money starting out, there are guides to all of the games in the guides area of the forums.

There are a lot of free dragons for newbies threads hanging around, too, if you are looking for your starting fodder pairs and what not.

Hi! Welcome to Flight Rising.

kt refers to x thousand treasure. For example, 10kt is 10000 treasure. g refers to gems. For example, 100g is 100 gems. In case you're wondering, treasure is the standard currency, easily obtainable through many site activities, while gems is the premium currency. You can buy gems with real money, but you can also sell things for gems on the auction house, and you can also trade treasure with other players in exchange for gems in the "Items for Sale" forum.

To get new dragons without breeding them, you can buy them from the auction house, or look around in the "Dragons for Sale" forum for dragons to buy. There's also freebie threads where you can get free dragons from other users, or since you're new, people might just send you free dragons as a welcome gift.

And there are no new codes at this time. From what I understand, they were used for Kickstarter gifts and to redeem the sticker vista for buying something from Merch.

Welcome to Flight Rising. I would a post a guide but I’m lazy and other people would do so probably.
To answer your questions:
Kt= thousand treasure. Treasure is earned quite easily so its ratio to gems are around 1000:1(1kt:g) to 1100:1(1.1kt:g).
G= gems. Premium currency that can be bought with real life money, or earned feom other players. Occasionally there will be gems in chests and if you feed your dragons well you can earn 1 each day.

You can buy new dragons from the Auction House(AH) or Dragons for Sale threads from other players, or you can head into the Dragon Trading and Raffles/Giveaway threads for free dragons. If you are looking for a specific type of dragon, you can post a request in the Find a Dragon threads. All forum trades utilize Crossroad Trades, which is how you can send dragons to other accounts without selling directly(a la AH.) More rarely, you can come across an egg and hatch it; this will give you a triple basic plentiful dragon, just like your random progenitor.

I am not sure what you mean by new codes. There is a sort of “coding” implement which can be used to format forum posts, signatures, and clan and dragon biographies. There are guides for this sort of thing in the guides forum.

Otherwise, I hope you found this helpful and enjoy your stay. @sav101w

One day, will these too become but distant memories?
. . .
Yes, in the blink of an eye.

1 kt = 1000 treasure [emoji=treasure size=1] 1 g = 1 gem [emoji=gem size=1] The Auction House (abbreviated AH) has many cheap dragons for sale by other users! Along with food, apparel (dragon clothes), familiars (pets for your dragons, they give treasure if you “bond” with them), and other items! To make treasure in order to buy cool stuff, play Glimmer and Gloom, you can make 75kt a day playing for ~15 minutes if you get good. Here’s a guide!. Other general tips I have:

Dragons you sell for <10kt will almost certainly be exalted, which means removed from the game to serve the deities directly, giving the exalting player treasure.
Bonding with familiars and maxing out fairgrounds every day make dragon cash fast. Also the coliseum, there are many guides in the guides forum for statting dragons. This one is popular and pretty good in my experience.
If you get unhatched eggs, those sell for a LOT on the AH, don’t accidentally hoardsell them (sell back to the game). They sell for ~300 gems depending on the market.
Everyone here is really friendly and willing to help newbies, so don’t think you need to learn everything at once! You’ll get the hang of the game soon! And don’t think you need to make treasure all the time, it’s a game, and it’s okay to take breaks whenever you need to!
