What’s the biggest impulse buy you regret on FR? Or, did you ever spend a fortune on a dragon only to find one that was similar but slightly prettier later on?
A while ago, I bought a XXY G1 on impulse and coatl scrolled her; but today I found another G1 with a slightly nicer version of the same colour as the first one, so I bought her instead…
Obviously I lost quite a bit of money on the coatl scroll and everything, but I couldn’t help myself xD

Decided to get a different mate for one of my permas to get pokeball-themed dragons and sell them. Required buying a not super cheap dragon, WC scroll and shimmer.
Realised a couple weeks later that I really didn't enjoy trying to sell dragons, no-one seemed to be interested, and it felt weird to have broken up the original couple. Dragon spent the next few years as a frog with a halo, until I finally exalted him. None of their offspring were anything but fodder.

2 Butterfly genes (when it was brand new, before the release of Petals) that I used on a gen-whatever WC pair which never recouped the cost.

I wanted to start selling cyan XXX Jaguar/Rosette/Capsule dragons since I thought the colors looked nice and matchy, along with the Ice eyes. I even bought a boon, and one of the dragons needed capsule. My initial cost was going to be 100g each hatchling, to make up for the cost...
Not only did the dragons not sell, someone else listed dragons that were near-identical to what I was selling for much cheaper (they were selling Skydancers while I was selling Imps), and I only made 10g total when someone in a server I was in offered to buy one for that price. I gave away one of the other hatchlings to a friend and exalted the other :/ never picked up another project after that

Ouch... After hearing this, I don't think I will ever try to open a hatchery, lol

Yep, I can relate; I now need to give a gen one dragon 3 gem genes.
