I've heard Wildclaw scrolls have a great potential for resale when they're not in stock, but I've never bought them from the marketplace before. Is it worth it to stock up now and resell any extras later?

not really. there's a group of people who buy a large amount of gem genes (including wildclaw) to resell at only 5 gems above marketplace value to keep the prices from inflating. At best, you'll only get around 200 gems above marketplace value

If you can I'd say do it, they can reach up to 3-4kg in the auction house. Especially when there are longer gaps between restocking.

not that much for reselling, it's generally a pretty small profit. their lah is usually 2200ish when they aren't in cycle.

This is only for regularly available scrolls, usually WC scrolls can sell for quite a lot after NoTN once the cheaper ones are bought and people want to gene their hatches (~200g more)

Provided you're patient, you'll always make a profit on Wildclaw scrolls! Last I checked (which was right before the sale actually) they were sitting at 2.5kg.

they definitely dont hit this level anymore, at least not from what ive seen (i bought one two or three months ago and the price was 2100g, even after months since the last time wc were in the mp). back when they hadnt shuffled wildclaw scrolls in for, like, over an entire year (it might have been closer to two years? i dont really remember, time is now fake) people got super desperate and were willing to pay that markup- but now that wc scrolls seem to shuffle in at least moderately often the prices tend to stay more steady at 2.5kg and below.
all in all it wont be fast profit by any means, and waiting makes it more likely for them to shuffle in again and end with you just cutting even. there are way faster ways to make 500g than trying to play the WC scroll market, haha.
edit: they can be a decent "rainy day" fund method tho- in the past I would buy one or two extra scrolls, and then sell them off only when i was finally desperate enough for the money. I'm way more likely to NOT waste all the gems in my hoard that way...

It's not worth it unless you have a very significant amount of gems to put into buying a lot of scrolls. Like others have said at their peak I usually see them around 2.2kg - 2.3kg and at that point I think there are better things that you could put your gems into (like NOTN coming next month).
The only benefit I could see is if you're someone that struggles to not spend gems, even when you put them into your vault. Buying a scroll and then letting yourself forget that it's sitting in your hoard might help a little.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone! Tossed a couple extra in the vault but stopped there :-)

Coming from someone who sells, the only real wait is waiting for the price to get back above MP price. Before they cycled back in, they were selling for 2,280g ish each
If you can afford to and don't mind the wait then go for it, profit is profit.
If you can afford to now but then regret it, just throw them up for what you paid?
You're never gonna be in a situation where you lose gems :)
