Tell me what you think of the new genes! Let's see what plans you have for your dragons!
Do they remind you of any animal or object? I've heard neon signs come to mind from one user; to me, they remind me of some kind of sea creature, maybe a seahorse?
Are they based on any particular pattern in a real animal? Or did the artists just make it up?
Do you have any criticism?
I think these are great counterpart to paint/piebald, which are white-based; makes sense to have a black-based gene.
Can't wait to hear all of your thoughts.

I'm indifferent, honestly. They look cool in some circumstances (that imp baby you posted looks great) but I'm not into super dark dragons, or super patterned primary/secondary genes, so I'm not really the target audience lmao.
(Odds are I'll change my mind in a week or two though -_- )

I love neon/eyebleed dragons, so I love these genes! It makes every thing look glow in the dark. Like look at this scry!!!

I love how these genes look as themselves, but I find it hard to combine with other genes. Especially tetr genes.
Also, I think they look best on coatls.

I agree that they're a great counterpart to pie/paint since I'm not a big fan of the white and splotchy look most of the time. I've done some scries and looked at a bunch more where the new pair can really save some difficult color combos and turn them into something beautiful, so I'm thrilled!

the 90s child inside me is screaming for the color schemes.
i love black and neon so much.
but they also have overall general use for just being black with everything.
i forsee much use of this for me in the future.
maybe if i take a trip over to Lightning eventually i'll have some neon robots. :>

I'm enjoying them. The cost means instead of slapping them on everybody who looks neat with them I'll probably end up with one or two and that's all.
But like her up there when it looks good enough to be worth it, its really good.
I love how pymorph makes the dragon darker and this is an even more extreme version of the same kind of effect, so I'm happy with that. I'd love to see genes that do this sort of thing (really lean hard on another color besides the main) more often.

I like Pharaoh, but I have no plans on using it yet, thankfully. Not a fan of Sarcophagus since it reminds me too much of Noxide (a gene I don't like). Sort of a mix between Noxide and Morph? I do want to get a permababy Obelisk with Dark Sclera eyes and Pharaoh, though, since it gives me very "villainous" vibes
