you know that hypothetical minecraft mob that technically can exist but is unbelievably rare? yeah imagine that but with flight rising. [b]disclaimer: this is merely an idea of what would be the rarest dragon- not a guide on how to get the rarest dragon. because of certain circumstances and the fact that some of the steps are illogical, don't yell at me if any of this thread doesn't make sense [s]it hurts my feelings :([/s] [/b] first thing that comes to mind on our hypothetical dragon is ID. lower the ID, the rarer it is. the lowest [s]non-deity[/s] dragon is #14, aka Evangeleene. the reason why i say #14 besides #12 is because the rarest way you could get an egg is via coliseum! and there's no way you can start the game without 2 dragons in your lair. so let's pretend Evangeleene doesn't exist and is replaced with our Hypothetical. Blessed by RNGesus, Hypothetical is an egg dropped from the coliseum. BUT it has to be before november of 2018 because coli used to only drop from elemental enemies of a corresponding egg. what is the rarest elemental egg that you could get from the coli? i don't know, and i'm too lazy to research that. And then, as if the game devs themselves came down to hack into your account, the egg is hatched into an XXX hickory! because i think hickory is still the rarest XXX unless my research is outdated please correct me on this. it's pretty obvious of what would be the rarest breed however, an imp. to be more specific, we use an imp scroll on our Hypothetical. so now we have a gen 1 xxx hickory imperial with the lowest ID possible. but now we need to gene Hypothetical. the only genes that require chance to get is python, morph [both coli drops], and smirch [smirch you can only get in chests during notn] oh! and to add the icing on the cake: primal eyes! because RNGesus also hates you! so there we have it, the rarest dragon that could never exist. i made them have earth eyes bcs i think it's fitting. Also, they have an eliminate that dropped at the same time you got the egg, and they hatched from a noct egg so the eyes are even rarer to match and be primal.

I think an equally rare dragon would be a pure gen 26. I remember someone attempting it with their ABC project, but they gave up since it is really hard. Honestly hardly anyone breeds pure gens beyond a pure gen 2 or 3.

Edit: if hickory is actually rare, I got a pure gen 2 imp thats XYX Hickory...

Old Earth gen 1s are the rarest I believe out of all the elements.

[/quote] @Vampirate i'm a bit slow when it comes to rarity via community standards but what does 'pure gen 26' mean? also holycrap Earthfall is definitely quite the catch!

as someone who spends a lot of time in the coli, i disagree about py/mo. if you spend a lot of time zoning out in the coli, it can pile up pretty fast. plus smirch is a fairly inexpensive tert on the AH. if the genes are acquired purely thru rng? yeah that makes sense

i would personally pick gem genes that are unpopular and fairly new if possible (i havent seen a wild glowtail in ages). i figure that people are less likely to fork over premium currency for things they think are ugly, which limits the likelihood of finding it on a dragon (both as scrolled and naturally born). if there were any ugly swipp genes, i’d pick those too but people seem to like firefly enough to breed dragons with it

I think instead as of right now, Pharoah/Sarc/Glowtail would be the rarest genes to put on them and the hardest to acquire because they're on the pricier range in terms of gem genes.

Another really rare dragon would be breeding a plentiful breed with all basic genes with a Coatl/ Wildclaw with all gem genes, and getting all the rare genes and the rare breed, PLUS natural primal eyes
If you're going to be really fancy then strive for a specific color combo from the widest range pair.

u could add a 2 letter name to em as well! naming ur dragons with 2 letters was a glitch that was patched around oct 2018 i believe (?), making them pretty rare.

[/quote] I would define a pure gen 26 as being an Gen 26 across all lineages. So all the distant Gen 1s are 25 times removed? Check out my progen project tab (first tab of main lair) then click a gen 5+ tab to see what I mean by a pure gen with the lineages tracked in bio.
