I think you have a duplicate question: "is any race of dragon more respected than others" (22) and "is any breed more disliked than others" (49) are basically the same thing as far as I can tell

AT LAST. I remember a surge of questions like this sometime in 2018, this is great! These look like great questions, op, thanks for your time and effort. I'll be saving this every 10 questions so I don't accidentally lose it or something. I apologise for any sort of mistype if it happened. This only took 5 hours, epic. 1. What is the name of your clan? It's Sekhet Aaru. It shares the name with the Kemetic heaven (Ancient Egyptian religion). When translated, it literally means "Field of Reeds", it can also be compared to Elysian Fields. It is however nothing mystical, paranormal or ethereal, it's just a desert oasis. 2. Is it considered a clan? A tribe? A group? Other? It is considered a village or perhaps a smaller city. Most accurately, it is a desert's river delta oasis. According to a Wikipedia entry on "village", that tends to be a smaller settlement ranging from a few hundred to a few thousand individuals (only counting humans; in this case Dragonkind and Beastclans) so a village fits. 3. How did the name originate? Refer to the answer to question number 1 as I already elaborated there. [emoji=ridgeback tongue size=1] 4. What form of leadership runs your clan? A council? A King/Queen/Other? If not, how does the clan operate? It is run by the people, while some more well-read and reliable individuals are also consulted prior to any big actions. Basically, whenever there's some sort of idea someone has, which does not include noninvasive actions on their property but is instead referring to more public areas, people in specific occupation sectors and with specific expertise are consulted for the most ideal outcome. The primary goal is to better the life quality of everyone involved. 5. What is the main income of your clan? Is there anyone that manages the money? We are in a very geographically favourable position which makes the region (not our village specifically but the entire span of the river, delta and coast) a cultural and trading centre, intermingled with trading and transport routes. It's positioned on the northwestern coast of Ta Meri (Shifting Expanse), in between the Kamur Sea (the sea that separates the Sunbeam Ruins from the Shifting Expanse), the Uatch Ur Sea (Sea of a Thousand Currents), the expanse of the Tesheret and Arbin (Sunbeam Ruins). Due to fertile lands and its fairly easily accessible nature, a lot of different trading routes as well as nomadic or travelling routes pass through it, making it bustling with merchants, crafters, farmers and the like. So, with that, we earn a lot of Gold, Silver, Bronze, Copper, Turquoise, Lapis Lazuli, ivory, Pearls, timber and other currency/resources by exchanging our goods. The thing is, we do not really encourage adding the concept of "value" to things such as coins as it's problematic so a lot of coins are melted to be used in everyday things such as chalices, platters, jewellery, tiny metal pieces, etc. Still, each version of coin is stored in the treasury for historical preservation. 6. Are certain things more valuable than currency that would be used as such? It is a very complicated topic that I would have to talk about for hours. The actual physical/material value of the metal used for a lot of coins (especially nowadays) is much lower than what we give them. Financial value is entirely a made-up concept and we prefer to trade goods for coins ONLY in circumstances in which something might expire very fast, such as fresh produce, dairy or fresh meat. Otherwise, we prioritise exchanging goods in markets. Of course, it can be mixed payment. Knowledge and lives are by far the only things that come to mind that do not have a price to them idk hgjkhkjhfg [emoji=ridgeback laughing size=1] 7. Is your clan dedicated to one craft or few, OR do they specialize in many things? HHOOOOUGGHHHH SO MANY THINGS. There's no way that any settlement would survive without farmers, weavers, metallurgists, washers, etc, at least not without import. People's occupations and interests are highly valued and their contributions to the bettering of the oasis are well-rewarded. While food, water and housing is readily available to everyone, it is highly encouraged an individual provides some sort of service to others, even if it's just small favours. 8. Does your clan trade with other clans for wares, or do they prefer to keep to themselves? Refer to the answer to question number 6. 9. Is there any enemies to your clan? If so, how? Bro we're literally just vibing, I don't do conflicts (but if there were, they would be obliterated by Kneph) 10. Does your clan squabble with these enemies or other clans often? Imagine saying "e imam beef s cijelom Marijom Bistricom" and then you argue with an entire village. Yeah I don't do that sort of narrative, if we have enemies, it's entirely from person to person and they're very rarely the enemy of the entire settlement. 11. Does your clan have many allies? If so, how do they usually interact with each other? If we specifically ally with someone, it would either be with individual people OR with individuals in power who strive for the betterment of these desert regions. We do not ally with the greedy. 12. Is there treaties or contracts involved in alliances or is it verbal/based off trust? We are very meticulous about paperwork (papyruswork) and our scribes, administrators, accountants, archivists and mediators make sure to have written records of important interactions. So yeah, something like a serious alliance would certainly have an objective and word-to-word accurate parchment in the great library/archive. 13. Does your clan get along Beastclans or are they all enemies? They are people. We are people and so are all other multi-cellular organisms (especially those who are mobile). We do not see differences unless the acknowledgement of a difference is necessary for the betterment of all parties involved. Equality cannot exist without equity. According to my historical lore, Dragonkind originated from the Afriukan territory (Ashfall Waste, Shifting Expanse and Sunbeam Ruins), then scattered across the rest of the continent while many remained in its land of origin, some groups diversified, then got back together. Since late prehistory, the entirety of the continent was already inhabited by Dragonkind BUT many territories are also the home of Beastclans (depending on the species/race; many of which are convergently evolved). We must coexist as it is only the right thing to do. We belong to the lands of Sornieth just like everyone else, kindness is expected. However, those who "invade" aka arrive specifically to take over, murder and erase our history and culture will be considered enemies. We can all coexist but those who assert themselves as "superior" will be smited. 14. Does your clan accept Beastclan members? Why or why not? Yes. I don't even need to elaborate, just yes. Even hundreds of years before the official establishment of Sekhet Aaru, Beastclans and Dragonkind have coexisted in their little farming settlements. 15. If yes, would they have any form of issues integrating into your clan? Would any dragons show distaste towards them? If one would show distaste towards a fellow of a different kind or mind, their place is not among the ascended ones. 16. Is any specific race of Beastclans disliked? Or certain races seen as less than others? I am legitimately getting stressed out over this. No. Absolutely freaking not. 17. Are they treated like actual Familiars? I don't do "familiars" such as those in fantasy-aligned literature of humans so no, no one here is considered a "familiar" but instead "familial" hahahahaah Basically, there are companions, sapient or non-sapient, it doesn't matter. A Beastclan individual ranges from close friends over coworkers to romantic partners, while a Goliath Beetle would be a forever companion or a helper in towing and construction. A Greattusk could be a companion, partner, helping with construction, transport, waterwork, digging and the like. It depends on the physical characteristics and intellectual abilities of each and every individual. For example, while a Centaur might be intellectually capable of complex crafting, a Greattusk or a Beetleboar is intellectually and physically better at finding aquifers or tubers, or helping out with physical work. 18. Are there any race or animals treated as Familiars? No familiars. 19. Does your clan celebrate the Elemental Holidays? Why or why not? Not really, no. As a matter of fact, our village and its customs in a way predate the neo-religions of Elements and the Deities, but not its origins. In case it's not obvious, I don't consider the influence of deities and magic as canon (sure, in this media it is but I don't do media, I do real life). So, with that, the actual Gods are just prominent, deified individuals throughout history, sometimes even representations of a community, army or a conquest. The Elemental stories and religions are based on storytelling and cultural heritage of a region, particularly those specific dragon species (groups) after the rapid diversification of Dragonkind across the continent. [s]20. IF yes, what do these festivities entail? Is it always monthly? Can anyone participate?[/s] [s]21. Is any specific element more respected than others, or one more hated than others? If so, why?[/s] 22. IS any race of dragon more respected or more hated than others? If so, why? Absolutely not. 23. Can all forms of elemental magic heal? Magic straight up does not exist. 24. Is all magic absolutely elemental (strictly to the in-game lore magics) or are there general forms of magic any dragon can use? If so, how do they work? Refer to the answer to question number 23. 25. Is any certain magic more powerful than others? Refer to the answer to question number 23. 26. Are there such thing as enchantments or curses? How would they work? Refer to the answer to question number 23. 27. Are tomes important to magic users? Why or why not? Refer to the answer to question number 23. 28. Are certain things or places able to amplify ones magical abilities? Refer to the answer to question number 23. 29. Do dragon have to be in certain conditions to be able to perform their magic? (Ex. An Ice or Nature dragon would not be able to perform their abilities in the Ashfall Wastes.) Refer to the answer to question number 23. 30. Can a dragons magic become naturally more powerful over time or would they need any form of training to help them become more powerful? Refer to the answer to question number 23. 31. In-game lore says only water can be seers, but can any dragon be able to do the same regardless of element? How do they receive future prophecies without the influence of a Deity? "Seers" are referred to as oracles in my lore and they have actually nothing to do with anything mystical or cultural, it's actually just them being very verbally clever and messing around with people and their "prophecies" by giving them very broad answers, so being wrong is extremely unlikely. Most of the time it's just really good advice. Some, such as Meskhenet, use hallucinogenic substances and mantras to get into a euphoric state and have a good time (akin to the Oracle of Delphi) 32. Does your clan have any dragons dedicated to researching and studying magic? Refer to the answer to question number 23. 33. What about a court magister or someone who is very knowledgeable in magic/arcane that gives advice or helps with magic/arcane matters? Refer to the answer to question number 23. 34. Can dragons use magic to shape or create things? Refer to the answer to question number 23. 35. Can ones magic influence or read someones mind? Refer to the answer to question number 23. 36. Do your dragons use magic to attack others in combat? Can any element engage in magic combat? Refer to the answer to question number 23. 37. Do your dragons worship the deities? I am fairly certain no one here is 100% a believer, especially since education and the understanding of science are of utmost importance, which turns a lot of narratives invalid, but the freedom of personal and harmless beliefs is always there. I am sure there are numerous individuals who were introduced to neo-religions of Sornieth at some point and they're quite fond of them, but no one here is a fully devout believer. There is simply no time or energy for it. We share phrases with Kemetism, for example, but all of us know that the Kemetic gods or Sornieth gods have nothing to do with what happens irl. 38. Do dragons worship only their deity of their element, or would they worship another deity, if at all? Hey did I tell you that I don't do elements actually? Not in terms of eye colour at least, that is entirely genetic. Specific cultural regions and species/subspecies/breeds are culturally aligned with a specific element so they associate with the social construct of "element", but physically, chemically, scientifically - whichever you choose - it does not exist. 39. Are there dragons that don't believe in the deities or hate them? If so, why? Yeah, because they don't exist although the cultural influence does. Refer to the answer to question number 19 for more context. 40. Are there dragons dedicated to convincing others to serve their deities? *chuckles* hell naw. 41. What is exalting to your clan/dragons exactly? Is it noble? Foolish? Just the pure game concept of "exaltation" does not exist in my lore, I have expanded it significantly. It's more like a systemic role of an individual who decided to serve a leader, a community or, in the worst possible scenario, a "country". It's just serving, there is nothing mystical or special about it, it's work. Here's a recent quote of mine:
The grimmest of all the possibilites - just like real life. Depends on the region, the ruler, politics and the time in history; it's just military and everything that binds it. You are told you're fighting for a social construct of territorial ownership and "legacy" just to be used as a pawn, the bodies of "enemies" and your own body as fodder, all for the financial and influential gain of people in power. It's soulless. Mind you, do not forget about the possibility of people just leaving to serve a system through different means. Military is not just going out there and slaying someone, it's tied to agriculture, mining, maintenance, metallurgy, transport of goods, communication, management, etc. In the end, too many resources are being wasted on battles that should not be happening. We, as a community, do not interact with it or contribute to it (what is happening at our point in time). Whatever happens on the site is not tied to the actual real life events of Sornieth so that's also irrelevant. Also, I read what the caption of Dominance said and it makes no sense. Some people have made a really good point - where the hell is the war happening. Or any of the tiniest battles. Where are we seeing the conquests and the aftermath of said battles? Nothing ever seems to be changing even though it claims we're "aiding our own Flight and fighting the other Flights"- for what? Are all the battles just quarrels? We see someone near the vaguely-established border of a Flight's territory and then we axe them? If we compare it to any historical battle of humanity, it's always for some sort of power and control. Nothing seems to be changing here, the territory isn't expanded or shrunk, no rulers are overthrown, no alliences are made, there are no changes in politics-... or are we just not seeing it? Is it just not told? And this is the reason why I don't mix what goes on on the site with the lore and ESPECIALLY NOT with the actual real life history of Sornieth.
42. How does one go about exalting another? Is it a ritual? A process? Does one decide for themself and leave? Does another help No such thing as the exaltation of someone else, otherwise that's slavery lmao. It's still on a case to case basis. 43. Where would one go to be exalted? Varies largely depending on the situation. Working in region- or noble-owned fields, working as a metallurgist for the clan or region, working as a baker, cleaner, servant, herder, or even serving directly through military work such as a soldier, armourer, rider, etc. 44. IS it considered blasphemous or crazy to not worship ones elemental deity? Absolutely not. 45. Do the worship of the deities play a big role in your clan? Hehe no. 46. Do any of your clan members hate the Tidelord or are scared because he vanished? Are any helping to search? Tidelord also straight up does not exist (or perhaps has as a deified Guardian at some point). 47. Do dragons that come back from exalting seen as higher or lesser for leaving/being kicked out? No, it's just work. No one from our village ever leaves like that though. 48. Does your clan or any dragon do any form of sacrificial ritual for their deity? Or offer any items? We have our own little culture that involves bring offerings to the altars but they're something along the lines of actually bringing offerings to other people. They are allowed to take them if needed. 49. Are any breed stronger than another in any way? Or are all breeds equal? Physically, the largest ones such as Imperials, Guardians, Ridgeback and Snappers are the ones who tend to be the strongest due to their bulk, however it can still vary depending on the individual! There are some instances in which Wildclaw are much stronger than a Snapper, simply because the Snapper in question is scrawny. 50. Can breeds of their "origin element" use their magic better? (Ex. A spiral dragon using wind magic better because the breed originated from Wind more than say a guardian dragon using wind magic) Refer to the answer to question number 23. 51. Are your dragon sizes more to that of in-game canon (Fae is the smallest, Imperial the biggest, etc.) or are they closer together? *breathes in* HHOOOOOHOOOOhoh woof. Not even close to being as drastic, the largest don't exceed- uhhhhh.......3 meters. It's just so impractical, they would be considered megafauna and without special anatomical adaptations, it would be really hard to have such physical versatility, agility and flexibility, I suppose? It's still 100% correct that the Fae and Veilspun are the smallest while the Imperials, Guardians and Ridgeback are the largest, but it's in the realm of sensibility. 52. Are all dragons similarly expressive or do they all uniquely show their emotions? ohohohoho I am an expert at this, at least when it comes to the hardcore anatomical data, I am not really that good at reading non-verbal communication (specifically of humans, other animals I understand really well). Well, according to what we have in FR lore, it is implied that dragons are capable of emoting with their faces which means that they have extremely sensitive and specially adapted facial muscles, similar to those of mammals. Btw any other tetrapod apart from mammals cannot frown, smile, snarl or anything of the sort simply because they don't have such muscles around their premaxilla, maxilla, dentary and nasal regions. Not only that but the eyes and eyebrows of mammals AND dragons seem to be very very expressive, while external ears also exist. That is the reason why I restore my dragons in an anatomical fashion more akin to mammals (just in terms of the skeleton, musculature, cardiovascular system and skin, not in terms of reproduction or mammary glands). Now, since all dragons in my lore share a common ancestor which itself wasn't so long ago, I try to have very few morphological differences. That is incredibly important in creating accurate worldbuilding and phylogeny. So yeah, all are capable of facial expressions BUT what varies are cultural expressions and gestures. There are many many tiny or even large differences in human cultures, it only makes sense to apply the same to Dragonkind. 53. Are your dragons able to fly? Or is wholly determined by their wing sizes? Their tree-climbing, common ancestor and some still extant dragons that are not categorised under Dragonkind were and are still capable of flying, but none of the Dragonkind is. They have a reduced second pair of arms (wings) that they use for occasional object manipulation (like Gaoler do in FR lore). 54. Do Ancients and Moderns get along with each other? Hahah........ Ancients and Moderns aren't categorisations I use. Actually, Gaoler, Tundra and Obelisks are all closely related in my lore. So yeah, there is no big difference. 55. Can your Ancient and Modern dragons breed with each other despite in-game lore? No, absolutely not. What we consider "moderns" can't interbreed at all, for example, a Guardian cannot interbreed with a Fae because they are way too distantly related, but a Tundra might be able to produce offspring with a Gaoler, although they would be infertile (possibly). 56. Do Ancients and Moderns socialize regularly or do they both have their separate areas within the clan? We're all one and the same as people, let's not- 57. How did you clan react to finding Ancients? Never happened, they have always coexisted with the rest. 58. Do Ancients have a vastly different culture than those of Moderns? Not as Ancients but there are regional differences. 59. What about the Obelisks? They are closely related to Tundra and Gaoler. That's it. 60. Are there any ceremonies that might be breed specific? Only if culture entails, I don't know about my village. 61. Do dragons mate for life or no? That entirely depends on the relationship of the individuals. There are individuals who have been together since they were kids, there are individuals who met later but made it work on their first try, there are individuals who have dated but split apart later on. Doves are seen as "mating for life" but there have been instances in which they split. It's never the exact same in every individual. 62. Do dragons look down on others for not having a lineage? (G1 dragons) Ironically, even though I don't like having dragons who do have a lineage/offspring in-game, I do not consider G1s being literally "G1s". None of them are created out of thin air, they all come from someone, although it is entirely possible that many just decided to disown their parents and the rest of family, some don't remember, some grew apart, some were adopted, etc. I think the whole "clean slate" in-game works really really well in my lore because the people, when they come to live in Sekhet Aaru, it is a new clean slate. A new chapter of their life. 63. Do you have any disabled dragons? IF so how do they receive assistance for such? Are they considered less? YES, will elaborate and no. Physical disability never determines someone's worth because someone's worth is always undeniable and unchangeable, unless they've done something so horrific that their rights need to be trimmed (aka prisoners in the human judicial system). Many individuals who have had or still have some sort of medical issues are handled by Kneph or physicians/healers because their health is of utmost importance, HOWEVER, there are some cases, especially in human society, in which a "disability" is specifically referred to as a "disability" due to the unadapted, unwelcoming, exclusionary environment those people exist in. Autism is intelligence situated in a slightly different position on the spectrum of intelligence. The reason why ND people are marginalised is specifically because the system is not adapted to them and only caters to NTs. If the system, culture and environment were adapted to their needs and ways of thinking, there would be no problems. I still occasionally have problems with my attention disorder, but it still undeniably gives me abilities that NTs do not have. I just need a working environment in which I can function, something that is adapted to me. Anyway- the point is, accessibility for all is of utmost importance and there are adaptations in the system that allow excellent function and living conditions of people, regardless of their state. There are some who are non-verbal (or non-vocal) and that's okay, we have sign language. There are those who need a special approach, that's okay, we have that too. Some have trauma and there are good ways to deal with it and go past it. Still, we have the ability to help those who have ailments. 64. Are your dragons in your lore anthro, human, or just simply dragon? None and all at the same time. There are actually some humans that were brought there by Kneph, the dragons are neither anthro or "feral" in anatomy, it's a blend. I tried going for a fascinating, scientific approach. 65. Are your dragons more human like in terms of intelligence or are they more feral/animal like? oh boy. Humans are animals so a human is exactly like an animal. There are non-human animals who are sapient and all animals are sentient, a human isn't "more intelligent" or "more evolved", but yes, in terms of where they are on the spectrum of intelligence, Dragonkind is very similar to humans. 66. How technologically advanced is your clan? Do they use magic to fuel technology? or just simply magic for all necessary things? Blend of technology, no magic. Let's say the technology fits the current times of when a specific period takes place. Technically speaking, the main focus is on the equivalent of Earth's 3000 BCE while what FR focuses on is something along the lines of the equivalent of Earth's 1920 CE. That's like a difference of 5000 years. ANYWAY, the technology is fitting to the time of the adjacent period but I primarily focus on the technology Ancient Egypt had. Of course, Kneph was capable of introducing some advanced knowledge and technology so electricity is a thing. 67. Does your clan grow/farm food? OR do they hunt for it all? If anyone asks the Staff, Sekhet Aaru is THE agricultural clan. I don't think anyone on this site takes agriculture as seriously as I do. I think only Aztec and Eucyon get close (or I just haven't seen anyone else do it). Just like Ancient Egypt, compared to manpower (dragonpower), we produce the most food out of all regions. 68. What does your clan do with abandoned eggs? Oh those are so rare, like an abandoned human baby, I never really thought about it and I will in the future. 69. Does your clan have ambassadors/representatives? What do they do? Ambassadors of Elements? No. In game terms? Yeah, I guess. Representatives of different societal sectors? I guess.....? It really depends on what you're asking. We have a mediator, we have a peacemaker, we have some experts at law and some nobledragons. 70. Do your dragons hold marriage ceremonies of sorts if they were to mate? That really depends on the individual. As I try to base my lore on how Ancient Egypt was like historically accurately, there were no marriage ceremonies and, culturally, we have none of those either. However, whatever someone wants to do on the day of their household joining, it's their decision and we will most likely help out. 71. Is architect important in your clan? Do they live where infrastructure is important or no? Incredibly, immeasurably important. We have complex architecture (refer to this lore thread here for more information). Not just architects but construction workers in general. It's important that everyone included has some sort of construction and maintenance skills (gods, I wish I had those irl) but there are some people who are specialised in it. The construction and maintenance of homes, large public buildings, monuments and roads is of utmost importance. 72. Are there any forms of teachers to help with literacy/fighting/magic/history/etc? We have librarians/archivists, a historian, some scholars and scribes, we have knowledgeable priests, accountants and the like. The library is open to everyone and it is always highly encouraged for people to read scrolls and write journals that will be copied, archived and the copy returned to the owner (btw that's what the Library of Alexandria did!) The sharing and archiving of knowledge is praised. 73. Besides forms of leader is there any jobs considered to be more valuable/ important than others? No, we are all of equal value and importance. Sure, someone who specifically works with crafts and tools, even a farmer, will consider metallurgy important, a priest or food supplier will consider farming incredibly important, while a basket weaver will consider reed harvesters important. We all contribute in our own special ways. 74. Does your clan have a library? Yes! More info in the answer under question number 71. 75. What about cooks or any form of servants? Yes. Check out my Domestic & food tab in the Lair/Den. 76. Do you have a prison? How is it run? What would someone have to do to be imprisoned? Wow I actually never thought about this before. We have two divine judges (as of currently) so it is only sensible that there are some prison cells somewhere. What I know is that Ari-Khabu is the one who maintains the cells and takes care of prisoners [s]before their inevitable execution[/s], while some servants and cleaners make sure the conditions are good. The judicial system is impeccably accurate; if you are not guilty, you will not be trialled at all as Kneph knows all. You cannot escape the all-knowing hound of justice. 77. Would your dragons have a trial for the offending person? How strict are the laws if your clan has any? I have mentioned laws somewhere already but, in their basic form, it's "Do, love and think whichever you will and all which brings you and others joy, excepting that it does not cause harm to another, lest the punishment will be dire. Do not judge thy fellow founded only on beliefs, do not do to thy fellow that which you do not want be done unto you, it is the Hound's duty and aptness to judge the right and wrong in your place." Those who are deemed "unworthy" are those who commit crimes most foul, such as continuous abuse, assault, support of marginalisation based on biases, sensless murder, etc. 78. What is the most serious punishment and the lightest punishment for a crime? As I said, unless your soul is as heavy as the mountains, there will be no trial. Those who are trialled are the worst of the worst, and the circumstances that led to such behaviour are always known. The sacred duty of the Protector Hound is to cast wrath upon the sinful. May she cast your soul into the lake of fire and may you burn and writhe in agony for a hundred thousand years (Heh - eternity). That is metaphorical but it still speaks the truth. 79. Do Beastclans believe in any form of deity or God of their own? Do they try to convert dragons? The cultures from the vast adjacent lands of Ta Meri are wonderful and colourful ^u^ There are many interesting stories that are shared through word of mouth communication, many cultures and religions adapt throughout history, adopting deities and stories of others, sometimes merging. It's incredible and lovely. There are some individuals who come from the rest of the Tesheret, Ta-Seti, Arbin, Neheset, Ment, etc. 80. Are there any planets that your dragons, or others, have found? As many as there are visible through stargazing or through a small telescope. The knowledge Kneph has exists in the depth of the archive but not all are mentally ready to unveil it. It's still accessible tho. That is a complicated topic I have not touched upon yet. 81. Are your dragons developing a way to go into space? No, simply because there's no need. As I said, I'm focusing on the BCE part. Do they understand how celestial bodies work? Yes. 82. Sorneith canonically has 2 moons. What would they be named if your clan had to name them? UHHHHHHH IAH AND KHONSU. 83. Is the Shade feared in your clan? Anyone "Shade-Touched"? I actually elaborated what the Shade could be in biological terms (some sort of invasive microorganism that feeds on and destroys organic matter, originating from another planet/extraterrestrial ecosystem, which survived a meteor impact sometime in prehistory). It's an amalgam/colony of complex microorganisms that corrupt, dissolve, destroy organic matter, whichever you'd like. It's just an ecological problem, I guess, but it is not as successful as it would like to be. 84. IS there anyone that worships the Shade? Are they open about it? No, no need to worship it. 85. Does your clan believe in such a being? Well, they are beings. They are organisms which are now invasive. 86. IS there a certain dress code or expectation of style in your clan? Any developed styles over time? I-... I think I'll just allow you to take a look at my lair and decide for yourself! 87. What about food? Any food that is considered your clans cultural food? HOOUGHHH let's see... we have prized goat and sheep cheese, we have numerous varieties of grapes, we have wine that comes from those grapes as well as pomegranate and lotus wine, olive oil, capers, bottarga, oysters, shrimp, prized honey, dried dates, different grains, numerous citruses that are popular and loads and loads of different produce. Some hot drinks such as tea from Tephrosia and Jesuit's tea, then fruit drink from the Gharqad tree, palm wine. Acacia trees and similar create gum (gum Arabic) which is important in our culture as well. 88. What of slang? Or sayings? What about swears? Do certain dragons/ dragons of elements have certain sayings/swears? (Think when the Light Sprite yells "Baku Snout!" in G&G out of frustration) Yes. I am not going to curse in the forums. 89. Are fictional books in your lore similar to books in our real life? What about comics and toys? What I brought from this reality lmaooooo 90. If a dragon was to say try to invent something we have in our modern lives, like a TV or a car, How would other dragons react? Depends on the dragon really, are we only talking about the dragons from my village? Advancement is important UwU 91. Do dragons have certain things we do? Like desks for writing, full beds, shelves, etc. Or would they be very different to compensate for their style of living/being dragons? (Like instead of beds, they'd have nests) The chairs are adapted to accommodate for their tails, so are the beds, but yeah, we've got mattresses, futons, pillows, shelves, tables, counters, sinks, showers, (stone) baths, etc. 92. Do other forms of dimensions exist? Dimensions? Yes, in the most literal, scientific sense such as 2D, 1D, 4D. Realities? Also yes, and that extends to my daily life (I'm meta) 93. Does any form of heaven or limbo exist in your lore? Or any form of afterlife? No uwu 94. Do spirits exist? Can they possess or move things around? Absolutely not. [s]95. Do dragons hunt for the paranormal if they do exist?[/s] 96. Are there any folktales or legends that exist within your clan? Any Mythical creatures? oh sure, that depends on the region the person's coming from, there's all sorts of interesting stuff like that from all around Earth, why not Sornieth as well! Never really thought much about it but the answer is undoubtedly yes. 97. What about songs that would be commonly sung among your dragons? I can't name a single one because I am bad with coming up with names BUT there are instruments like harps, flutes, drums, lyres, Simsimiyya, etc. 98. Are hatchlings assigned a job when they're young or can be anything they please once they're of a certain age? No one's assigned a job, a person assigns a job/occupation/hooby/activity to themselves, there's no pressure. Younglings can enjoy themselves but introducing them to activities is also important. 99. Do some dragons sometimes eat outside their food groups? Like a Tundra eating meat/fish? We all primarily focus on a more vegetarian diet but yeah, I just find it silly that some individuals would be able to eat eg. catfish but they can't eat an insect. It's all meat. 100. What does your clan do with gene scrolls/breed changes? Are they even a thing? Magic? Can they willingly change their breed at any time using one? Would they still carry characteristics of their old breed after they change? IS it instant? Gradual? Same with genes? Or do the patterns mix for a bit before changing to the new? AJKSDJKSJKL HJKHF OHOH EU FHJfh jkdhkjjh gjkhjdkhjgk hjkhw hjdhfjk hkjhgjk hjf *devolves into Zalgo text*

Knowledge and lives are by far the only things that come to mind that do not have a price to them idk hgjkhkjhfg

If so, how?
Bro we're literally just vibing, I don't do conflicts (but if there were, they would be obliterated by Kneph)

I don't do "familiars" such as those in fantasy-aligned literature of humans so no, no one here is considered a "familiar" but instead "familial" hahahahaah
Burgerpants_face_smoking.gif

Basically, there are companions, sapient or non-sapient, it doesn't matter.

20. IF yes, what do these festivities entail? Is it always monthly? Can anyone participate?

21. Is any specific element more respected than others, or one more hated than others? If so, why?

(Ex. An Ice or Nature dragon would not be able to perform their abilities in the Ashfall Wastes.)
Refer to the answer to question number 23.

Some, such as Meskhenet, use hallucinogenic substances and mantras to get into a euphoric state and have a good time (akin to the Oracle of Delphi)

Natron wrote on 2022-01-23 04:59:57:

Does another help
No such thing as the exaltation of someone else, otherwise that's slavery lmao.

(Ex. A spiral dragon using wind magic better because the breed originated from Wind more than say a guardian dragon using wind magic)
Refer to the answer to question number 23.

We're all one and the same as people, let's not-

(G1 dragons)
Ironically, even though I don't like having dragons who do have a lineage/offspring in-game, I do not consider G1s being literally "G1s".

Anyway-

the point is, accessibility for all is of utmost importance and there are adaptations in the system that allow excellent function and living conditions of people, regardless of their state.

What I know is that Ari-Khabu is the one who maintains the cells and takes care of prisoners before their inevitable execution, while some servants and cleaners make sure the conditions are good.

Do not judge thy fellow founded only on beliefs, do not do to thy fellow that which you do not want be done unto you, it is the Hound's duty and aptness to judge the right and wrong in your place."
Those who are deemed "unworthy" are those who commit crimes most foul, such as continuous abuse, assault, support of marginalisation based on biases, sensless murder, etc.

(Think when the Light Sprite yells "Baku Snout!" in G&G out of frustration)
Yes. I am not going to curse in the forums.

89. Are fictional books in your lore similar to books in our real life? What about comics and toys?
What I brought from this reality lmaooooo

90. If a dragon was to say try to invent something we have in our modern lives, like a TV or a car, How would other dragons react?
Depends on the dragon really, are we only talking about the dragons from my village? Advancement is important UwU

91. Do dragons have certain things we do? Like desks for writing, full beds, shelves, etc. Or would they be very different to compensate for their style of living/being dragons? (Like instead of beds, they'd have nests)
The chairs are adapted to accommodate for their tails, so are the beds, but yeah, we've got mattresses, futons, pillows, shelves, tables, counters, sinks, showers, (stone) baths, etc.

92. Do other forms of dimensions exist?
Dimensions? Yes, in the most literal, scientific sense such as 2D, 1D, 4D. Realities? Also yes, and that extends to my daily life (I'm meta)

93. Does any form of heaven or limbo exist in your lore? Or any form of afterlife?
No uwu

94. Do spirits exist? Can they possess or move things around?
Absolutely not.

95. Do dragons hunt for the paranormal if they do exist?

I'm procrastinating on writing lore so! I'll see if I can do this in-character or something. Subbing in so that I can return to this thread + post when I'm free. :D

1. What is the name of your clan?
"We aren't a clan; I'd say we're a band of misfits!" Hilla laughed gaily. "It is a good name, no? We're too small to be a clan, and they're not family to me."

Varka lifted his head and shot Hilla a pointed look. The Nocturne just shrugged.

2. Is it considered a clan? A tribe? A group? Other?
Nyissas dropped her head as she pondered the question, her eyes staring, unfocused, at the back of the card held in her claws. She blinked and flipped the card.

The Earthshaker peered staidly at her, his sad eyes fixed seemingly on her thoughtful expression.

"A group," she answered simply.

3. How did the name originate?
N/A.

4. What form of leadership runs your clan? A council? A King/Queen/Other? If not, how does the clan operate?
Varka heaved the long, drawn sigh of someone who has endured much from the people around them.

"Nyissas and I," the Obelisk explained, "are caretakers to a pair of rowdy, gods-may-care dragons. "Nyissas tells us where to go. I watch over them on the way there."

5. What is the main income of your clan? Is there anyone that manages the money?
"We take jobs and requests from the Guild! Nissy—" the Wildclaw frowned, "—takes all of the coin and saves them somewhere nice and hidden, I'm sure!"

6. Are certain things more valuable than currency that would be used as such?
Varka quietly shook his head.
