Flight Rising Discussion

I've seen speculation on which flight they originate from, and personally I find Plague the most likely, because those tattered wings, multiple heads and twisting tails look very Plague-esque to me.
I think Arcane would be more delicate/astronomical and less... physical, you know what I mean? More of an amphithere with giant wings and head and no leg, perhaps.

But I haven't seen any speculation on what they will be called. We have three examples of Ancient breed names to draw on - what sort of name sounds like it'd fit whatever you think the next breed will be?

I think it ought to reference the fact that it almost certainly has multiple heads, because that's thus far a completely unique trait we haven't seen before. But it also can't be too on-the-nose.

Chimera would be my first guess if we didn't already have that as a familiar, it reminds me of the simple, one-word name of the Gaolers. Alternatively, a compound name ending in -spawn feels thematic for something that looks like it crawled out of the Wyrmwound. Wyrmspawn perhaps? Or Wrathwyrm for some neat alliteration.

Perhaps it can be another word relating to chimaeras. Maybe something with "siamese", "bound", or "joined" in it. Maybe Fleshbound?

Or perhaps something more like "Amalgam".

Amalgam sounds really cool, I could actually see that being the real name! :o

Would be cool if it had “zweil” in the name, since lirc that means “two” in German. So it could be something like zweilcaron or something lol

Actually, "Zwei" means two, not "Zweil" - the L is not part of the word! ^^
It would be a bit strange to mix languages like that, but I suppose it's possible! Something straightforward like Twinwyrm or Twospawn that sticks with only English seems more likely to me though.

my answer to this question before was this: Scylla then the Water one would be Charybdis other flights hated having to head through the border between Plague and Water way back then. [emoji=nocturne laughing size=1] - if not the actual species name, then a pair of those two ancients of the respective elements is kind of on my idea list.
