Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I just completed my first Arlo plot, and:

It resets automatically.
I was hoping that by the end all my pickaxes would be concentrated on the same plot or two and the dig would go faster, but apparently we'll have to deal with some of the random spaces going toward duplicates.

Yeah, this got discussed a lot yesterday when the first players to complete claimed their prizes.
Even better, if you weren't aware, you have to claim an item once you've uncovered it. So you can't even postpone gratification in order to focus on other things you want :(

I have just now discovered this for myself and it is the worst. Why in the world are they forcing us to work on gathering duplicates before we even get one of everything? I only need one of each fam, hello. After collecting my dino before being allowed to do any more work, I activated another pickaxe and naturally it went to work in the plot I already completed. I hope they look into this because its quite frustrating, wouldnt it be better if they could be remained uncovered until you dig all of the rest and then choose or not to reset all at the same time? sigh

Yeah, it'd be great to have an option like 'cover with a tarp' or something, which would temporarily block it from being worked on. I only just got my first Minmi, and already have a worked piece on it from the hammers.

When you think your big brain play of focusing on 1 plot at a time actually turns into a smooth brain slide...
I'm legit so dissapointed by this news i spent a lot of my time uncovering that first dino fam tile. if i knew i'd probably focus on something else.
