C'mon FR it has been 8 years already and we still cant have a Imperial breed changer... I know these were kickstarter gifts but that was a long time ago. As a big and supportive community we have been during these years we [b]DESERVE[/b] Imperial breed changer!!! *cries* Just imagine the people you would make happy AND THE MONEY YOU WOULD BE MAKING IF YOU SET THESE IMP BREED CHANGERS FOR GEMS, GEM STONKS!!! we all win if imp breed change came back. Sadly they legally can't! It would only take 1 kickstarter backer to be like "Hey! I'll sue you!" and boom, fr could be in HUGE trouble. No amount of wanting could negate the legal issues ;w;

As nice as being able to have imp changes may sound, it would probably crash the fr economy and kill the game.

they could release like unhatched imp eggs though, bc thatd be an entirely new item and it wouldnt be the ks limited breed changes

that's not how kickstarter works! the backers were promised that their imp scrolls would be the only ones. it would not only be rude for fr to go back on that promise, like javaMP said it could literally turn into a legal issue. and frankly i'd also feel bad for all the people who put so much time and effort and maybe even real money into getting imp scrolls/g1 imps just for them to suddenly be worthless. we can't get every single item in the game and that's okay /pos edit: [quote name="TsunamiVoid" date="2022-03-18 13:16:17" ] they could release like unhatched imp eggs though, bc thatd be an entirely new item and it wouldnt be the ks limited breed changes [/quote] [i]legally[/i] they might be able to do this, but i still think it would be a shady business practice. the implication of imp scrolls being ks-exclusive is that g1 imps will also be ks-exclusive/have to be bought from a ks backer. they would still be going back on the end value that the ks backers bought (having a hard time wording this through brain fog but i'm sure you get what i'm trying to say)

in case this isnt just bait

legality aside releasing imperial scrolls (for this example, making new ones instead of circulating scrolls already in circulation) would be a complete slap in the face to the original backers of the kickstarter.

the only way other users who didn't back the kickstarter could acquire any "new" scrolls that weren't made through trades or the auction house would be roundsey, and that only happens when users holding scrolls (and other kickstarter-exclusive items) donate them.

these items dont work like copyright or a expiration date. the contract they made with these users is legally binding and if they were to break it they be open to suing and thats way more trouble financially than a handful of users whining they cant get instant satisfaction.

:D FR might change its mind and bring them back one day like they did with other retired items. Every other KS item is already available through Roundsey and since the friend and family accounts that donate them seem have a fairly large stock of them it seems likely that they have some imp scrolls too that could be thrown in.

Clarifying that we don't think they should be brought back. It'd be cool but unfortunately not the best idea for the site. Just that it's possible.

[/quote] the problem is is thats its just not any retired item, theyre ks items so they very much cannot generate more of them

@arecibo We don't know anything about US law so we can't comment on creating more but other KS items are donated to the raffle with no apparent legal problems we don't see why imp scrolls should forever be excluded from that :D
