Whenever I browse FRD, there always seems to be at least one thread where someone is discussing changing flights, and others where people talk about which flights they have "vacationed" in, and so on.

What I never see, though, are others like me: the true blues! the full-combos! the My Flight For Life-ers.

So, this time, I want to make a thread for us!

Have you been in the same flight since day 1 of your account?
Which one?
Why did you pick it, and what has made you stay?

—Personally, I've been drawn to nature and growing things for as long as I can remember, to the point that it's absolutely essential to my personal "brand." I joke that it's in my "contract": if there exists a plant/wood/nature elemental affiliation, I simply GOTTA choose that one.

Sure, I looked closely at Light flight for its elegant aesthetics and emphasis on learning; Arcane seemed great with its curiosity and imagination; I even strongly considered Plague for its fierce pride in its own identity... and also I love me some body horror. (Bless FR staff for the truly galaxy brain move of tying Nature and Plague together; we're perfect for each other, hand in unlovable hand~.)
Later on, I've looked at Shadow as possibly a better fit for my clan's fey-inspired lore, and Earth for the warm color palettes and tight community.

But I just can't leave Nature! I wouldn't be fully me in any other flight. Plus, you know the only thing better than body horror? Plant horror. :D

Also in Plague since day 1, would never move. Love the lore, love the gore, and love the Plaguemom. Also best primal eyes in the game imo.

Nature-Plague solidarity (shaking hands emoji)

I have been Arcane since day one. When I first joined, I read through each Flight description, and Arcane just... resonated with me. It's understandable why, as I am the dictionary definition of a nerd. I love science, math, and programming, as well as a healthy dose of magic and fantasy. Plus, who could pass up on vibrant pink crystals and magical explosions?

I've considered moving to Lightning for it's moody, fantasy industrial aesthetic, as well as Light for it's brightness and Nature for it's animals and plants. But even if I move, I'll probably return to my bright magenta homeland as soon as possible.

Forum pings and PMs welcome.
Most of lair is in HibDen and open for forum games.
This Wasteland Pauper is the most decoration this signature has ever had. I know, it scares me too.
aha, thats me! ive been in water flight since day 1 and i dont have any intention of leaving. i just feel at home here - ive always had a thing for the ocean and bodies of water in general, but especially in games where you get to pick an element, ive always chosen water. couldnt tell you why but im not complaining

im autistic, so my tone come off as
more aggressive than i mean to be ^^;
i'm pretty sure when i picked arcane back in 2014 it was for "they're the curious flight, always embroiled in research" reasons. i've stayed for the pink, the glitter, and the space aesthetic <3

I started in water but quickly realized that wasn't for me so now I am in ice. I don't think I will ever truly leave ice. If I ever flight switch, it would just be for the looks of the backdrop and scenery. My main clan will still lore-wise be in ice and at heart I will always be in ice flight.

I will put something here eventually.
I started off in Shadow and was very passionate, collecting loads of shadow trinkets and materials. Eventually, though, after maybe two years, I started to get bored with it. Switched to Nature, was nice but not my style. Then, finally, I entered Plague. I will never go back. I don't think I'd even vacation. I think I was already collecting bones and skulls before I even entered Plague. The red eyes. The goop. The grotesqueness. Literally the only downside is the mild drama but honestly I find it kind of fun to watch and there's no stopping it. Biology and survival? Ohhhhh yeah. Skeletons and meat and disease? Sign me the ---- up.

been in arcane since i joined three years ago! magic and sorcery always appeals to me first, but i remember considering light and nature as well during account creation. now i can't imagine ever switching! my lore and aesthetic is too deeply connected to arcane at this point
