Its because there is a dom battle! Prices are just gonna skyrocket because Wind and Lightning are battling it out and taking as much fodder as they can.
Also a lot of people are buying hatchlings now so when they grow up they can be exalted without dealing with the prices raising once they are adults (either to exalt or sell. Many people are also buying up fodder now to sell to the fighting teams later)
