I know lvl 7 has a very good exalt payout-to-xp till next level ratio but I saw a lot of people training fodder to lvl 10 and I wonder why they do that. That seem like a Lot more work. Is it a sweet spot for dominance in particular?

The sweet spot for dom is level 5 so... I have no idea, that must be so tedious!

more profit from fewer dragons i guess?
it varies from person to person but generally the exalting sweet spot is levels 6-8 - there's a big dom battle on this week though so people may be leveling further to avoid paying the higher fodder prices haha

If I don’t have a lot of fodder but want more money out of it, I’ll level to 10. I also stored a bunch of lvl 10s hoping I’d be able to sell them during this dom battle!
For the lvl prizes if they have it, but they’re usually pretrains.

I level to 10 because I’m not a serious exalter. I only have a few spaces for exalt trainees and I can’t be bothered with the volume needed to make much money through buying and exalting. So I need to make more money off each individual trainee.

May be grumpy before coffee. And after coffee. (FR+8)

The only advantage is more levels for less lair space. If you were wanting to contribute as much as possible in advance but only had a very limited amount of space for fodder then getting those dragons to a higher level is going to be more dom points for the same space.
Otherwise training to level 10 isn't worth the time involved :D Optimal level is around 5-7 depending on the price of fodder and how fast/lucky you are.

I read somewhere that you can level 10 lvl 10s while leveling one dragon to lvl 25(using a trainer that can do 2 dragons). Ever since then I've thought about it...but I'd have to wait until my current Fodderlocke gang gets crushed. I'm not going to change the leveling rules in the middle of a game, even to start my mire flyer. She can wait.
