Are there people who would buy the super expensive, high-priced items in the shop? Like, to me, it's mind-boggling, yknow?
And I'm not talking about limited-exclusive items or items you buy in the marketplace. I'm talking about rare coliseum stuff that people may have a chance of encountering themselves.
Like I recently got the Yeti familiar in the Boreal woods place, and I saw (And no worries, I put it up for this price cause your girl's gotta hope) that the price was a minimum of 800 gems! That's so insane, like how low (percentage-wise) are these drops? And are there people who would actually buy that familiar?
I know everyone does their own things, like you do you, but I was just curious!

Yup, people buy them, the forbidden portal boss familiars especially go for over 1000g, and the golem workshop bosses go for over 5000g each!!

The way I think of it is that there are people who don't touch the Coli, or maybe only stick to the lower levels, who aren't going to encounter those fams or apparel pieces etc. themselves, but still want them.
I personally don't buy them because I spend a lot of time in the coliseum and am willing to just grind for something myself if I really want it, but yknow for some people all those gems are worth not having to put in all that time and effort and investment.

Oh no way they’re actually rare enough and take a while to sell. (GW bosses especially) The forbidden portal bosses are easier to get so they’re stable enough, but sell for less
If you’re looking for a good money-making stage, gun for the Forbidden portal. A 133STR team really rips through it

Yes, users buy those items because of how rare they are. Some of those boss familiars can take months upon months of grinding to finally acquire.
Some will purchase those rare items from other users because they don't have the free-time or ability to use the Coliseum to the extent required to acquire the rarest loot.

That's honestly completely understandable and I can get by that! Lots of people are busy and the drop rates are extremely low, so I completely get that! : )

Oh for sure! I'm definitely on my way to any of the level 25 stages, I'm currently in level 23 so it'll take time for me! : )

Yeah, I get that! The Coli also got insanely low drop rates!
I personally love the Coli cause I'm also addicted to shiny hunting, so it works out for me ????????
