TOPIC | Calling them "fodder"

@Bantymom I saw this interesting comment of yours in a Help Center thread. But it would have taken the thread off-topic to respond there, so I brought over here to FRD. Hope that's okay!
("Fodder" is such a sad word. I think of them as "Novices" or "Acolytes" just waiting to receive the training they need before having the ultimate honor of being exalted into the service of a God. It isn't like they're being fed to some other animal or being sent to the front lines of a battle to die.)
I call mine "exalts", and say they've "gone to serve the Gladekeeper". No fodder here! I'm in a slightly different category from most people, though, because I neither buy dragons nor breed them just so they can be exalted. However, I'm a fanatical breeder with an already maxed-out lair and den, who has no space to hatch new nests until I pick somebody to leave the lair. And I can't sell anyone, because they're ALL MINE. ALL OF THEM. So exalting is my only recourse. [emoji=tundra laughing size=1]

Here in Lightning we also call them interns! Especially if they're going to Stormcatcher

Fodder is still the more widely-used term, but if you tell a trainer you have 30 interns available, they know exactly what you're talking about.

I don't have a problem with "fodder" being used as a general term for the community. Imo it's easier to type than "exalts" and it immediately distinguishes exalting for treasure/dom from exalting a former-perma to just get rid of them.

In-lore, no, I don't call them fodder; I name my fodder after jobs they'll have when working for Stormcatcher at the Tempest Spire.

In Lightning? Join VOLT Teams! Ask me about it!
I don't think fodder is a loreterm so much as just what happened to stick with the majority for gameplay reasons, haha.
I call mine nuggets. I love pelting the gods and attendants with chicken nuggies B)

I have 650 permas. They're just not the same 650 all the time. :)

I don't know what other plague players call them but I always refer to my dragons that I'm gonna exalt as "carriers", also ties into my clan lore but that's less important lmao. I like to think that plague dragons have some level of immunity to most diseases, making these "carriers" beneficial to have on the battlefield to infect less resistant dragons for our beloved plague momma.
