...When you want to search for an incredibly specific kinds of skin/accent/UMA?
Since most ppl give poetic names to skins and all that, looking for key words on the game database probably wont work. So any advice, UMA hunters?
For example I want to find all skins in the game that cover the dragon's body in flowers, but it must be colorful and not only 1 color of flower (which is all i could find lol)

I feel like commissioning a custom skin might be easier

I usually just do a search by dragon/pose in the database. I look at site skins first since those are gonna be much easier to get my grubby hands on and there are less of them, then I check the player skins and skim if I still don’t see what I’m looking for. Not super easy but helps me a bit

Honestly a tiny part of me kinda wishes there was a tagging system for stuff like this. I wanted to find any skins that had handprints for my one phasmo fandragon or those cool face ones or ones with cherry blossoms.... Such a system would be incredibly useful for apparel too.
As for what I do now? Uh... well I look at all the skins/accents for the specific dragon (pose/breed) I was looking for a skin for, which is.... admittedly very tedious for older popular breeds. lol Much less a hassle for newer ones.

i search by color, but yea tagging would be nice.
u can always sign up for the gasp pinglist, u can select tags/keywords there :)
Okay so... what I do is actually go through the entire database. Now, I'm definitely not implying you should go through the whole database for every dragon because that's ridiculous, but instead you can check the majority of a specific pose. Sometimes it's only a few pages for the less popular species.
Another thing I do is mark the ones I'm interested in by writing them down in my UM projects thread. I include the item so I can just take a quick look at them if needed. If I need to exchange UMs between dragons, that also makes it easier.
I also save images of any UM I find interesting in my FR skins folder so I can look at them more easily. Utilising the favourite button is also very helpful

You could try making a thread to hopefully have skinmakers come to you with there accents that fit.
Otherwise simply commissioning one or checking the whole UMA database is the current option.
I'd say at least with the database we can sort by pose and breed so if you know that much it could be easier. But it would for sure help if we had a tagging system

I search the database for words associated with the specific vibe I want, by breed and gender, and sometimes colour if I'm being very picky.
