I'm trying to breed two (unrelated) silver/silver/white dragons. I've got three pairs, one of which as a 1 in 8 chance of getting the colours I need.
I sent them off to a nest rental: 4 eggs, great!
What do I get? A silver/dust/white, a dust/silver/moon, and two dust/dust/white hatchlings
Ughh it's not even that hard of a breeding project and I'm already getting frustrated XD

Ahaha, I was in a similar boat when I was still doing the breeding project for my Shadow Lugia fandragon (my avatar right now). 50/50 chance of getting either a Royal or Eggplant secondary... I wanted Eggplant, they refused to give me that for a good while. Quite frustrating. :'D

I've only attempted a breeding project once and I gave up on it so fast. Opted to instead search for a close enough dragon that already exists and buy it.
Everyone who has the patience for breeding projects has my utmost respect, I couldn't do it lol

I had a pair that had a 1/3 chance of giving me the exact coloration I needed for my project. I had to breed them six times.
Needless to say, I was extremely annoyed xD
It also doesn't help when you pick, what turns out to be, a rare combination of colors. Like, who would have thought dark blue range/white range/mid blue range WOULD BE SO RARE KFDGFJDSJG
but yes, I feel you in breeding project suffering. I'm still praying for something close to Saph/Saph/Goldish female to appear in the AH x__x

This sounds like it's gonna be my problem too in the coming months lol. I have a few pending breeding pairs. Some of them have ranges so wide, I'll need to make the project multi-generational.

i hate having a range of more than 3 colors so im trying to narrow down some dragons for my project (aberration baby in my sig) all i need are two replacement males but all of the ones with closer colors i find are related to all of my dragons lol
also completely forgot about a fandragon project i had sitting here with a range of like 2 for all 3 colors and i have yet to get the perfect set

good luck with rng!! it sucks but long-lasting breeding projects are always SO satisfying when the right hatchling pops up. i love exalting all of my parents. it's the same feeling as finishing a paper for school and closing all of my research tabs <3

I think my worst one took around four-ish years, partially bc halfway through it ghost released and was a way better fit, but it also meant i had to can the original pair and buy completely new parents
