hey old school players, what was/continues to be some of your favorite OG apparel?

as for me, you can pry my flowerfalls, flourish jewelry, and original silks from my cold dead hands

The gladiator/barbarian-y sets probably aren't old enough to count but they continue to be my absolute favorite pieces no matter what else gets released.

For really old stuff, hmm... the hippie stuff or the fur arm/leg wraps.

Everything before the implementation of Baldwin is "old" to me but I'll try to stick to the true OG apparel. Definitely the birdskulls, sometimes it’s all you need to pull a look together, and the headpiece is a lifesaver for dragons whose head is the thing ruining the look

"Old school" [i]*mentions silks*[/i] Man, those still feel new to me. I remember when the silk apparel was released... feels like just a few months ago still. They don't feel "old school" at all to me lmao My favourites of what I personally consider to be OG apparel would have to be these. They're so pretty, even if I don't use them myself [item=Peace Dove][item=Simple Gold Bracelets]<and all other colours [item=Burnished Gold Helmet]<and all the recolours except for the tarnished set, which is a lot newer [item=Earthen Masque]<and the regal alt. colour [item=Tickled Hyacinth][item=Heatherbed Lily][item=Sunrise Hibiscus][item=Romantic Red Rose]<and the other two rose colours [item=Bone Antlers]<and the other two colours [item=Pixie Procession]<and the ethereal entourage [item=Daisy Flowerfall]<plus the other OG colours (tulip, marigold, rose, sakura, and violet), as well as the crowns, corsages, and leis Everything else still feels "new" to me haha man I am FR-old

the og armor set! it's been reworked but even that was pretty early. not sure if the filigree armor's old enough but that one's amazing as well, still one of my absolute favorite sets

Steampunk apparel! The belt/boots/gauntlets from the oldest armour sets, especially the Tarnished Steel pieces: [item=tarnished steel belt][item=tarnished steel boots][item=tarnished steel gauntlets] Also the Filigree armour items, the Wooly Coat apparel (and sometimes the Tail too), the Aviator stuff (obviously), and I've always loved the Highnoon Hanks though they are tragically underused in my Lair. :) OH!! i actually love the satin tunics :') i know they're not to everyone's taste and the sheen on them doesn't jive well stylistically with most of the newer apparel but when they work they REALLY work
