Flight Rising Discussion

So, if my math is right (...and it's been a long day, it may not be), once Monday's maintenance is over, the only non-refactored systems onsite will be the Nesting Grounds (and breeding system, by extension) and Achievements! The end is in sight, and I'm so excited to see how things go from here!

In addition, to my knowledge, only these features have never gotten a revamp of any kind-
- Gathering (unless you count the little element icons, which I consider more of a QoL thing)
- Dressing Room (too new)
- Fairgrounds games
- Game Database (also too new)
- Technically Clan Profile, I guess?

Even if I'm a bit salty at Crossroads not having escrow, my account is old enough that I remember the Old AH (and doing breeding projects with it... *shivers*), and Old Coli that sometimes spun into space, and Old Currency Conversion where you had to PM the funds and hope you didn't get scammed. If stuff has gotten this much better by now, think about where it could go!

There were plenty of other bugs, mind, that one was just the funniest.

Developer Update.

Are you asking for things that never got revamp or refactor? Because there’s a LOT that have never gotten re*vamp*. Encyclopedia (just the occasional addition), messages, nesting ground has never been touched, gathering and clan profiles are only refactors nothing is actually changing, skin shop, fairgrounds (don’t think it needs it other then touch up some of the older games, jigsaw straight up doesn’t work on mobile), scry shop (gimme assay bloodlines that tells me actual information >:( forums.

I don’t think achievements are part of the refactor process, it better not be, that piece of junk needed a complete overhaul and all new achievements. ‘Own a Boolean’ dear heck

Okay. My joined-in-2021-ness is showing grotesquely but I am morbidly curious as to what the old AH was like??

@Sectonia, the FR wiki has a screenshot of the old AH. Personally I'd forgotten just how limited it was, but then again I pretty much purged my memories of the old AH immediately after the revamp went live back in 2017 lol. @Sectonia, the big one for me was that you could only search for dragons by individual colors- no ranges! So you had to check every combination for breeding projects [i]manually[/i] [emoji=imperial scared size=1]
