When I read the news about the roll back my heart sank. I hatched my first uncommon clutches this morning before maintenance. I was so lucky! I got two snappers presenting the rare Seraph gene, and the most beautiful little ridgeback I could have hoped for.
She was so beautiful, thistle/thistle with platinum circuits.
This go around I got two nearly identical, super neon dragons. No seraph at all on the snappers, too. This was supposed to be such a happy day and now I spent the last hour trying to log in desperate to see if I lost my babies. And I did. I know it's just a game but I'd invested so much time and was so excited about the outcome.
Why bother to invest so much effort when it can all be taken away?

I hatched out a beautiful coal/caramine/rust Imperial hatchling. It was my first imp ever. he's gone now. Malphas is gone. I invested so much into this **** and was so freaking excited to just have it all ripped away. I had everything planned out for him, and now that's gone and no amount of stupid **** called a care package is going to make me feel any better.

That is really awful. It sounds like they were really gorgeous.
I know they had to do something, but a rollback negatively effects so many people. I want to like this site, but it's just been so much nonsense. I'm not sure if I have the heart to play anymore.

I got a Steel/Rust Ridgeback. She's now gone forever AND I can't even breed the two dragons again because the cooldown is back 1 day

I really feel for all of you who have hatched THE perfect dragons or bought great dragons today, only to have it ganked away like that. Like dust that was blown away to the wind.
I mean, I lost 50k, yeah. I lost all of my gathering turns and the Lightning Egg that had the coolest looking Mirror I've seen yet -- from an egg, anyhow. I was about to buy my Ridgeback scroll when I was suddenly booted and saw the "maintenance" thing pop up. But this is kind of grinding my gears, cause all those people who have had more than me lost it all. Plus I'm running a Gene raffle all week, and that's been going badly due to all the site bugs and down times. Lot's of people are losing time they can't get back.
Sure, it's a digital pet site, but people have poured real money into this place. They can give us a flimsy 5k, some food, and a golden chest, but what about THAT? You can't give us back real money. Nope. The "care package" feels more like throwing a penny at a poor man and telling him to go buy himself something nice. Salt in the wound, to say. Breedings, gathering turns, dragon's that may have been bought that were perfect, trades, exchanges, all of that. POOF!
To be honest, I'm really upset about the rollback ordeal. People on Tumblr are ****** as high hell that it came to this. Yes, maybe it had to be done, but it probably wouldn't have if there was a better transaction tracker in place, where they could simply rollback individuals who exploited the glitch instead of punishing the whole site.
I'm really wondering what the heck all the money that I and many other people that have been putting into this site through gems (and their kickstarter funds) is going to, to let bugs and coding get this bad. I would think that from the start they would have set up adequate server space and run thorough checks to be able to handle 2000+ users at a time. With each "Server update" things only have been getting worst, mostly. This site certainly isn't getting a part of my paycheck for quite some time until they are able to smooth things out WAY better.

When I saw the rollback thing, I immediately thought about how glad I was I haven't spent much time on breeding/selling/saving yet.

Last night I had sold two of my dragons for 27K each and sold some rare things that I had swapped, bought and sold.
And I did a happy dance because I managed to sell some starters tat are usually way under priced.
And then I bought a Spiral scroll.
I was gonna use it today because the site died into maintenance mode.
And now I comeback and find all of my efforts GONE.
I am super disappoint.
Anyways I feel sorry for your losses.

Scott and Emilia had hatchlings this morning. I hatched them and I had Eric, a Tundra with Emerald primary. Scott is also Emerald primary, as is Benjamin (Scott's father). Considering that the mothers are nowhere near close to Emerald, it was a huge fluke and I hoped to continue it with Eric. Now, he's gone and I have a bunch of light-colored tundras instead. I'm not bummed enough to leave, but still.

It's good and bad in a sense, but nonetheless the people that were negatively affected by this are going to scream the loudest.
