So today while scavenging I found an unhatched shadow egg. I've never found one before, and I'm not sure if I should open it. Any thoughts? Have you ever got a good-looking dragon? A bad-looking dragon?

So today while scavenging I found an unhatched shadow egg. I've never found one before, and I'm not sure if I should open it. Any thoughts? Have you ever got a good-looking dragon? A bad-looking dragon?
It depends. If you really want the money from selling it, you should do that. But at the same time its not every day you find an unhatched egg, It can be fun to hatch it just to see whats in it, and if it doesn't fit you can try selling it to people who search for gen 1.

Hatchlings are selling for like 2k at the moment so if you don't like the dragon
you'll struggle to sell it :c

Check out the thread "Unhatched eggs - any surprises?" from a couple days ago. It seems that most eggs contain either mirrors, tundras, guardians or faes. Colors differ. I was fortunate and had nice color combinations that I like.
I bought a few unhatched eggs (shadow, light, water) because I wanted each element represented in my lair - I had mostly nature dragons at first.
I vote for hatching it - let me know what you get.

On the other hand, if it has a very desirable coloration, as a first gen it might make a really good breeder for you in the future after a gene change. It's always a gamble, but here's a couple of the dragons I've gotten from found eggs:

Thing is with Hatching vs. not hatching - is anyone BUYING eggs in the AH right now? Every time I look they don't seem to be, so last time I got a fire egg I kept and hatched it (with, for once really good results!). Today I've ended up with a plague egg and I was going to make thread here trying to see if anyone is buying unhatched eggs, as again, they don't seem to be selling too well. A ugly gen 1 may still have chance as some people will spend quite a bit on gen 1 and can scatter scroll it to their liking. Eggs don't seem to be moving at all from what I see though?

The last unhatched egg I got was a while ago. Keep in mind they're difficult to scavenge for, and I think their rarity increases as you level up, maybe? This might be the last egg you find for a while.

@CeruleanBlue I think if you want treasure you should sell it. I got my first and only egg maybe about a week ago, and AH prices were at 28k. Now it's at 24k. I kept it because I couldn't decide but it seems like prices are only going to drop.

Well I'd hatch it as I love seeing what will come out of it but then again your not me. If you want more money for it then sell the egg but if your not that bothered and are like me then hatch it :)

I have found four eggs so far. I hatched two and sold two. The first one I hatched was beautiful (his name is Arodan, he's still in my Lair). The second was hideous, and I sold the hatchling.
