I'm just honestly wondering. I feel like pretty much everyone has one now/ not that many players don't have one.
I'm not complaining in anyway. It's just that I used to be one of those players who were like "nahhh, don't worry, as the site keeps growing, Imperial rarity will keep increasing".
But since registration has been shut for so long, the amount of Imperials is really high. And they're pretty much the only breed (aside from Sky Dancers) at the moment worth breeding, so their numbers keep growing.
So yeah. Is there anyone left who doesn't have an Imperial? (or throw out your thoughts on the breed's future).
Edit: Holy crackers! I hadn't received a notification that anyone had responded to this thread, and now there's like 10 pages worth of replies. I've had fun reading through the first few. Definitely more people without Imperials than I had thought, and it's interesting to see other player's opinions on the breed/ their rarity/ prices/ etc

I didn't have an imperial for a while, and if I weren't on bedrest and sickleave for an injury I probably wouldn't have one now. Them buggers are expensive! I spent 4 days farming 500k, but that's cause I had nothing else to do.
So I guess I'm trying to say I have one. But only cause I had patience and time?

I don't, just because I don't really care to put the funds forward to get one. Too focused on SDs/lair expansions.

Whoa, that's crazy because I thought just the opposite. To be honest I'm still surprised there are imperials selling for over 1mill treasure. I knew right away that I had to sell my imp offspring as quickly as I could. They are only going to get cheaper as the site ages, all dragons will, unless something extreme is done about the breeding mechanics.
As for the breed's future. gen1 imperials will always be very expensive and a status symbol. And soon people will be after low generation imperials like 2nd gens to collect. I'm hoping white/white and obsi/obsi imps hold their value for a little while. But if they don't, I won't be too upset or surprised.

I have the potential for one--my one WC boy is at another lair and will breed to one after rollover (I've made so many blood sacrifices to Plaguemomma he better give me a bunch of eggs or else).
But even if I don't get an Imp from that, I'm not too worried. They'll continue going down in price and there's no rush to buy one. If I ran out and spent all my scroll money on one now, by the time it was RTB the babies would sell for 1/5th of what I bought it for. So, again. No hurry.
