---- Disclaimer added Feb 2018: this stuff is old and has been curated by random users over the years, I have no idea who necro'd this but seriously, this is not an up to date source and I am no longer working on this----
Newbie here, I've been busy collecting, and at some point I noticed I wasn't sure what to keep, what to sell, and what to convert to food of all the stuff I found battling.
This list was made with the data in the Swipp encycopledia entry, and with the species I've hunted so far myself.
The sheet, open for all to edit, can be found here.
SHEET ALONG HERE LADS AND LASSES
To avoid excel messes and you're not sure how not to destroy it, if you want to sort, it'll be the easiest to copy the sheet into a file of your own.
Sortable on
Alphabetical item list
Though a search should be easier to find what you want
Type:
- Seafood, Plant, Meat, Insect
- Apparel
- Familiars
- Material (coverts trinkets, materials, everything not the above)
What to do with it:
- Save: Swipp uses these
- Sell: Foodstuffs with a minimum 10T/food unit return
- Food: Foodstuffs with a higher food yield than 10T/food unit
(you can sort based on the ratio, too, this cutoff is just an arbitrary point)
Swipp trade availability
- Simply sort on filtering out the x's
Listed are the number of items needed, and the kind of item that will be made.
Don't forget to check if the same item made requires a second stash of resources, they usually do.
Information still missing:
Sell values for most of the materials
Materials not listed in Swipp's
Any Swipp trades not found in the encyclopedia (its preview image freakin' shows a trade that's not available now, ha)
Should make a column for obsolete trades, too
I hope this might be helpful to some of you, thought I'd share.

Little amendment to make from a now more weathered coli-player:
-FOOD SELLS QUITE WELL IN STACKS AT THE AUCTION HOUSE. If you ever find yourself having a good chunk of foodstuffs, sell it on the AH. Best way to go about this is to search for the food item, get an estimate of the best deal on the market, then sell your stuff for a fraction less per unit. You can expect roughly 100treasure per food unit, which is more than you'd get autoselling. It's slower and less reliable though, and not very handy for small amounts.
-You can also sell 'useless' materials and 'other' type items from the hoard, though I'd recommend waiting until you have a stack of 99 with a new small stack. This way you won't get caught with your pants down when Crim asks.
- If you have a food you only have one or two of, KEEP THEM AROUND, if Crim asks for them you'll make a nice easy buck :)
- You can sell Swipp items in stacks if you're not interested in the trade. Very very rare items (like platinum ore or the cobras) I've given up on collecting, but selling a single one on the AH can make me over 10k treasure :)
This is how I've been making a nice buck so far, though others prefer to 100% hoard everything. My method is my preferred balance between making quick money but not having my hoard bare.
