for some reason, i've always been interested in hearing about other people's phobias. i dunno, it's just kind of cool to me?? maybe i'm just weird?? thats probably it.

so lovely flight rising people, what are you afraid of?? for me, i'm scared of hospitals (only really in like, icu settings, i can go for a check-up no big!!) and ivs, open underwater spaces, big fish, and most boys. weird, right?? ok, your turn!! owo

i have a lot of phobias that are borderline triggers for me but i'm comfy enough rn i can mention them

i have your typical arachnophobia (little spiders are fine tho. i love spiders i just don't want them anywhere near me if they're not a tiny baby jumping spider ok) and then things get trippy from there

i am excessively paranoid and terrified of the thought of nuclear war and have had at least 2 dreams recently about being ripped apart by a nuclear bomb (complete with a white wash out of the dream) so uhhhhh there's that too
i live in southern california so all that hecking and hassling about korea and "OH WELL WE GOT SOME BOMBS YOU BETTER BACK OFF USA" has planted something of a seed of fear in my mind so to speak

also i hate heights, i hate heights a lot, i'm a tiny baby of 5'0" and heights are intimidating to me

There's no such thing as bird law!

I have a horrible phobia of flying. Last year I went to Greece on my own, but my last train arrived at the airport around 8pm when my flight didn't leave until 6am. By the time I got sat on the plain I was exhausted and fuh-reacking out! I was silently panicking and trying not to draw attention to myself, squeezing my hands into fists and trying to keep my eyes closed over my fear tears. Somehow, and I don't know how this was possible, I panicked myself unconscious and fell asleep for about half an hour. Then I finished my panic by waking up with a huge jump and going 'huuuurgh', making the guy next to me also jump and then laugh at me.

Phobias are often silly, and can lead to some fun stories I think ^_^ It's easy to look back and think 'oh I was so silly', but I know I'll be the same again on my next flight.

Small spaces. -shivers- It didn't use to be a big deal, and it's not really a phobia, per say, but when I see pictures of people in caves surrounded by rock, crawling through without being able to back up...yeesh. That gets me.

Bees and wasps. I can usually kind of tolerate bees if they're around, but if I see a wasp, I tense up like crazy and am internally freaking out until I know it's gone.

@Sevi oh god I was about to post about my fear of bombs/nuclear war and living in southern California is esp weird w/ that bc every time I get woken up by an earthquake I'm afraid that the worst is happening hhh

other than that I have a fear of car accidents to the point that I haven't learned to drive yet even though I should....and I have a ton of other things that I guess trigger me but I'm not sure if I can call them actual phobias?
ah forgot to mention cockroaches/anything remotely unsanitary ghggh

@birdlawyer I def relate to the fear of boys but really who doesn't

I have fears, such as spiders, and I'm not very good with heights or the dark. I have pretty bad trypophobia to the point of having panic attacks, though it seems to have gotten a little better.

I also have acute claustrophobia which only really becomes a problem when I feel like I'm trapped as that leads to panicking.

Spiders, dying, elevators, bees, wasps, hornets, insects, elcosed spaces, strangers, rejection, being wrong, getting into trouble, airplanes, submarines, people in general.

Yup. Lots of fears. All of them big ones.
