Which book/series has you occupied and excited?
Right now I'm on the last book of the Pure Trilogy, which is called Burn by Julianna Baggott. The writing style took a bit of getting used to, but now I'm in love and don't want the series to end!

So how about you - which book do you refuse to put down at the moment?

I am currently on the sequel to the Daughter of Smoke and Bone. It's called Days of Blood and Starlight. The series is actually really good! I like it because while there is an overriding love theme, it is definitely not the main point of the book. It is not a Romeo and Juliet tragic love story, so much as it is a story of an eternal war. It's really good stuff.

I am currently reading Skin Game by Jim Butcher. It's the latest book in the Dresden Files series; so far it's pretty good! The series as a whole is definitely something I would recommend - it's urban fantasy, about a Wizard PI named Harry Dresden. He solves crimes that were touched by magic and stuff.

@goblins
Oooh, that series is def. on my list of ones to read once I get through the large pile I've already got. Glad to hear it's not heavy on the romance; the plot certainly intrigues me!

I recently started The Shadow Rising, the fourth book in the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. I've heard a lot of the books in the middle of the series tend to drag, but I just like having a long series to read instead of single books or short series.

I've got The Black Count, by Tom Reiss (read by Paul Michael) on my Zune right now. I'm about halfway through, and man, is it a great read. (Listen?)

It's about the father of Alexander Dumas, his rise to prominence in the French cavalry, and the betrayals and adventures that followed, and how the stories inspired Dumas' own writings years later.

Every chance I get, I pop in my earbuds. It's all fascinating and exciting.

Currently reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson. I got to say, I am quite enjoying it.

I just really love dragons ok
@pressia Yeah! I was worried it was gonna be super cheesy and romancy. But it's not too bad and the romance actually aids the plot as opposed to just being a random addition to the book to add more drama or whatever. I was impressed with that. And when I first started reading I was super irritated because the main character had blue hair and tattoos and I thought it was tacky. But it eventually all makes sense and becomes ok that she is weird, rather than the author just using her looks to add characterization that doesn't even make sense with the plot. Overall, not bad.
