TOPIC | I want to share the joy of lovebirds

Yesterday night my dad brought me a lovebird baby that apparently was born around X-Mas, but it was too young to bring it home until now. Here is a photo of the cutie when they brought him in a small bird box:

I am not worthy of this blessing! He's so small and active and chirping I would cuddle him 24h but I understand I can't handle him all day. I was given several tools, the syringe with a thin iron feeder thing I must attach to the tip to feed him gently into the pouch (or whatever is called), a round plastic box with a bird formula that smells quite nice IMO, a bag with several oars of a round cereal I'm not sure what is it but the birdkeeper told us that when he starts to peck them and eat them, then he'll be ready for weaning, and lastly another bag with curly "sawdust" for his nest. I made him a nest inside the sturdy box of my Razer Kraken headphones (it was quite an ordeal to punch the holes through that thick lid), and he seems to enjoy the green interior of his new bed, carpeted with the curly bits of wood as mattress. Furthermore, to prevent him to get cold, I'm using an electric mat to heat up the outside bottom of the box, because here is freezing still and the birdkeeper already reported more than one owner that killed the chicks due to cold temperatures. I already own an iguana so I know more than anyone that keeping babies warm is a must, but since the box keep the heat for a lot of time, the mat is off most of the time.

Today I fed him like I saw on some videos (thanks youtube) and my father (he already had experience with pidgeon chicks) showed me the ropes of how to handle the bird during feeding. He seemed to love to play with my soft cardigan pocket, and now he's sleeping soundly with the pouch full of yummy.

I'M SO HAPPEH I DON'T KNOW IN WHICH DIRECTION TO EXPLODE OF HAPPEH. Here my sharing of experience with my first lovebird in my life. I can't wait for him to grow up so we can spend more time together fooling around ;-; If you have any tips or advices or ever had a lovebird, please share here, I want to listen to others' experiences too! :D

Oh my goodness, he's so ridiculously adorable! A little Christmas baby. ;_;
Congratulations on getting him! What are you going to call him? I would love to see more pictures of him as he grows and becomes colorful and gorgeous. :)

Ohhhhh my god so cuuute! Props for handfeeding yourself too! What color do you think he is? He kind of looks like a slate? (If I'm listing that mutation correctly)But he still has so many pinnies I can't tell!

oops sorry, here's an update.

@allrealelements - More photos :D
@Safikei - yup I planned to do photos each day :P I called him Carue :)
@Ziska - Yesterday before his lunch he almost ATE MY NECK. IT'S A VAMPIREBIRD.
@Spectrie - I believe he is a yellow-greenish one, all the fluff is switching from grey to green tipped and yellow tipped brushes lol.

And the photos from this morning, I'll have my breakfast and then feed him after I have him burn some activity to make sure he stretches and exercises muscles (and make him hungrier because I see the pouch is still a bit full from last night).

Do the greens show? I should make the pics bigger next time. Wow now I notice how radioactive is the green of the inside of Razer Kraken box.

I like the name you chose for him! It sounds nice.
But that picture with his little beak open and the little tongue peeking... oh my goodness, so cute.

Oh my gosh, he's just so cute!

Does he sit fairly still for these pictures or is it hard to get him to stop moving?
